Refresh Your Wardrobe with Pre-Loved Items from These Online Ukay-Ukay Sellers

Jul 20, 2022   •   Cristina Morales

Fast fashion has made it possible for anyone to cop the latest trends at dirt-cheap price tags, but this accessibility comes at a steep cost.  According to the World Economic Forum, the fashion industry produces 10% of the world’s carbon emissions and is also the second-largest consumer of the world’s water supply. Many fast fashion brands also outsource their production to places where labor is unregulated, so they often employ underpaid, overworked workers in unsafe environments.

While the fashion impact’s negative impact can only be really addressed by policy change, there is something you can do on a personal level. Heading to your local ukay-ukay, for instance, is much more sustainable (and budget-friendly) than simply shopping at the mall. Don’t have the patience to rifle through racks of second-hand clothes? Or maybe you don’t have access to good ukay-ukay places? We gotchu. Here are some online ukay-ukay stores that will help you live more sustainably in style.
