These Samgyupsal Restaurants Are Finally Open for Dine-In Customers

Jun 27, 2020   •   Kyzia Maramara

With areas across the Metro slowly relaxing their community quarantine policies, more and more establishments have begun to re-open. We have been stuck inside our homes for the past three months that we’ve bottled up all sorts of food cravings, the most demanding one being cravings for the famous Korean samgyupsal. But fret not, these places are finally back in operation and are accepting a limited number of people.

Samgyupsalamat, multiple branches

Branches open: Malate, Manila, Makati Square, BLC Bldg., Ayala Mall South Park, Aseana 3 Bldg.

Samgyupsalamat select branches re-opened for dine-in customers on June 19. There are a few health protocols customers need to follow before they get their fill of pork belly. Wearing masks is a must, guests must subject themselves to temperature checks, go through a sanitation station, and fill out a Health Declaration Form. Only a maximum of two (2) persons are allowed with a time limit of two (2) hours per table.

All Samgyupsalamat open branches assure their customers that all common areas will be disinfected every two hours and that all employees will be wearing proper personal protective gear at all times.

You can check the Facebook pages of branches near you for updates.

Romantic Baboy, multiple branches

Branches open: Taft Avenue, San Lazaro, Ali Mall, Banawe, Robinsons Magnolia, Marilao, SM City Clark, Bacoor, Imus, Bacao Epza, Gentri-Manggahan

Select Romantic Baboy branches have started to re-open since June 15 from 11 AM to 7 PM or 8 PM daily. Their new policies include “no mask, no entry,” alternate seating arrangement, temperature checks, and sanitation zones. Those 20 years old and below and 60 years old and above are not permitted inside. Diners are also required to fill out a Customer Health Declaration form. Despite opening their doors, Romantic Baboy still accepts online orders.

Visit the respective Facebook pages of branches near you for updates.

Seoul Train Korean BBQ, Quezon City

Calling ahead is encouraged if you want to dine in at Seoul Train KBBQ (or anywhere, really, it’s just good practice), but walk-ins are still allowed depending on availability.

The restaurant re-opened on June 20 with strict operational guidelines. Only a maximum of 25 guests is allowed inside the restaurant and only four (4) persons per table. They will be implementing a strict “no face mask, no entry” rule and every diner is subject to sanitization. Health Declaration Forms must be signed and temperatures will be checked before entry

Seoul Train’s operation hours are from 11 AM to 9 PM and the cut-off for dine-in is at 7:30 PM. For reservations, you can contact 0917 772 2203. Visit their Facebook page for more details.

Leann’s Tea House, Quezon City

This Korean restaurant at Mother Ignacia, Quezon City has re-opened with a strict reservations-only policy. You can reserve a table for specific time slots indicated on Google Forms they post on the Facebook page daily. Reservations must be done one day in advance.

Like the other restaurants, Leann’s Tea House follows a set of protocols from the government: each table can only seat two (2) persons with a maximum of two (2) hours of dine-in. There will be temperature checks and mandatory proper sanitation once inside the establishment. Guest names will be declared to ensure proper contact tracing. The staff at Leann’s Tea House will likewise follow their own health protocols.

Follow them on Facebook for reservation links and more updates.

Golden Baboy, BF Homes

Get some of that Grade A meat in the south with Golden Baboy’s samgyupsal meals. Their BF Homes branch is open for dine-in from 10 AM to 10 PM. Only two (2) customers will be allowed to sit per table.

Visit them on Facebook for more information on when their other branches will re-open.

Skygarden By the Bay, CCP Complex

Skygarden’s open area is such a treat for someone who has been confined at home for months. Their staff has also put up plastic covers in various areas of their space in a preventive measure against the coronavirus. Like all the other restaurants, they only accept a select number of people, they require masks, temperature checks, and proper sanitation procedures. Skygarden also encourages everyone to bring their own utensils if they can and payment methods could be via cash or card.
