Social media has been abuzz with speculation about a potential rift between beauty queen Pia Wurtzbach and actress-socialite Heart Evangelista. In 2023, there were whispers in entertainment circles about a celebrity firing her glam team. Internet sleuths speculated it was about Heart and her team, makeup artist Justin Louise Soriano, and hairstylist Jeck Aguilar. Many noticed that she had unfollowed her glam team on social media and had even opened up about friendship betrayal in her vlog. At one point, Heart even made a video on TikTok about “someone” maxing out her credit cards and spending all her money. This led many to believe that the falling out was due to money matters, something Justin denied in interviews.

Heart has since gone back to working with celebrity makeup artist Albert Kurniawan.

In late 2023, Justin and Jeck seemingly moved on and are now working with the Miss Universe 2015 queen.

The glam duo made headlines last January 2024 after they were prevented from traveling to Dubai to meet with designer Mark Bumgarner and Pia. This prompted many of Pia’s fans to comment that she should switch glam teams so she wouldn’t get caught up in their issues.

Back in October, Heart shared on Instagram Live that someone she knew stole her connections and used them to enjoy a European trip.

“Women should support each other. You just ask me. If you asked me for contacts, I would have given it to you,” she said.

“Imagine mo, years and years ko siyang trinabaho tapos ganu’n lang? Kinuha lang ‘yung sheet, eh. Pero ganu’n talaga. Baka kailangan nila,” she added.

When someone in the comments section asked if she was talking about Pia, Heart said, “I’m not gonna name names.”

A recent trend of Pia and Heart attending the same fashion events has sparked fan theories. Their appearances at several Milan Fashion Week and Paris Fashion Week shows have led some to speculate that Pia might be the person Heart previously mentioned who “stole” her connections, especially since the beauty queen wasn’t a regular at such events before.

In a video of her during Paris Fashion Week, Pia called for naysayers to stop pitting women against each other.

“I think we all need to be reminded that this bickering, pitting women against each other, and pointing fingers isn’t right. Please stop fighting,” she wrote.

“I want to ask everyone, my supporters especially… please do not pull other people down, lest to defend me. That is not what I want. And that’s not what I stand for,” she added. “Let’s respect each other and the work being put in by everyone — and not ruin it just because people online can’t get along. There is so much room in this world for everyone to shine.”

But the rumor mill continues to turn. Adding fuel to the speculation, netizens noticed Heart’s cryptic social media post on January 26. It featured a book titled Don’t Give the Enemy a Seat at Your Table with the caption “Not today.” This has led some to believe it might be a subtle reference to her alleged feud with Pia.

Adding another layer to the online theories is Pia’s successful commercial with L’Oreal Paris in March, which had her saying a strikingly similar line: “While others deny us a seat at the table, we’re creating our own space paving the way for others to follow. Irrelevant after the crown? I fought for my place to be so much more. Sayang ba ‘yun?”
