8 Things Pinoy Millennials Really Want To Tell Baby Boomers

4. The things you say can be racist.

TsekwaBumbay, Nog-Nog, sakang…the list goes on and on.

We understand that you were born in the 50s. The world was bigger where people stuck to their own flock and didn’t mix too much and there were many more rocks to live under. People who were different from you probably terrified you. So you invented labels and generalizations for them rather than understand them.

But it’s 2016 now. Things have changed. Societies are now cosmopolitan, diverse, melting pots. We have since discovered that there are many tribes in the human race. And civilization isn’t limited to one culture. It can still be scary but it’s less boring that way.

3. Stop buying condos.

You’re the only one with an earning capacity to buy those upscale properties.

And yes, being that you established the world order, we Millennials will never be able to buy our own houses, since the prices keep soaring yearly, thanks to the banks.

We either wait for you to move into your eternal plot of land, or we’ll just rent until we die. Whichever.

2. Retire already.

If you want us to hit paydirt and start giving you grandchildren, then retire already.

Rather than sitting around the office earning an embarrassing salary, start your retirement already so that the money going to you can be handed down to employees who want to start families already.

If not, we’ll just eschew marriage and keep living in with our partners.

1. You’re the narcissist, not us.

Surprise! You didn’t see this one coming, did you?

Yes, we admit we’re narcissists who melt our corneas staring into our iPhones all day long. But hey, if you think about it, who’s the bigger narcissist here?

You’re the one generation in the Philippines who wants to be in charge of things forever. Talo nyo pa si Poy—hindi marunong mag let go.

What do you have to say to Boomers? Sound off in the comments!
