DBTK

DBTK or Don’t Blame the Kids was founded in 2012 by brothers Emil and Vincent Javier. Since then it has become a staple in the local streetwear scene with the brand expanding its catalog from graphic apparel to accessories like necklaces and keychains. SNK ATK (pronounced “Sneak Attack”) pieces are designed in the Philippines in small batches which explains why their best pieces are often sold out. Secret Fresh (formerly Freshmanila) was founded in 2007 and is one of the country’s premiere art galleries that has evolved into a style brand. TBH, there are so many snazzy designs, we can’t pick one we like best! Globe’s urban lifestyle brand 0917 has blazed its way through the local streetwear scene with a line of apparel, gadgets, and accessories that cultivate a seamless lifestyle. It steadily climbed its way to become one of the best Pinoy streetwear brands. It has made successful collaborations in the past with brands like Disney, Nickelodeon, Marvel, and even with South Korean entertainment company SMTOWN. Bratpack’s Play Fest Event launched its “Press Play Campaign” last November 30 bringing all of these local brands together for a Local Capsule Collection. The campaign proved that the warmth, essence, and importance of community remains even though we were disconnected and isolated in so many ways for the past few years. The event also included a Creators’ Play Talk segment, live art by Tita Keks and Bryan Yabut, and live performances by up-and-coming artists such as Amiel Aban and DENŸ.
