Time passes swiftly when you’re having fun, especially when it’s something you’ve been anticipating for a long time. Lots of artists (both international and local) have been holding concerts in the Philippines for the past few months, which has led to lots of Filipino fans being *unofficially* diagnosed with a thing called post-concert depression (PCD). PCD is a non-medical term used to describe that empty feeling when the concert you’ve been excited about for months suddenly comes to pass.
If you’re currently experiencing this condition, you’re not alone. You might find yourself doing at least one (or all) of these things:
As the excitement builds up before the concert, that sudden drop of emotions can be overwhelming. It’s never OA to let your sadness control you for a while. Cry it all out!
There are two kinds of people: those who relive the memories and those who try to divert their attention. Whether you’re the type to let the pictures marinate in your photo album or replay it until you’re satisfied, there are no judgments here!
LSS malala. When you can’t get enough of the songs, you can always put them on repeat. Although nothing could top that moment when you’re singing along to the lyrics live, listening to the playlist will do for now.
To keep the hype alive, some people immediately plan their next concert. After all, things always look bright if you have something new to look forward to. Sana all.
The best time to flex that official merchandise is right after the concert. Wearing your merch is one way of subtly looking for other fans, hoping they sympathize with you.
Of course, you must let people know you just had the best day of your life. One way to relive that moment is by sharing a concert photo dump so the moment is immortalized on social media. I-flex mo ‘yan!
You only met them recently, but you already miss them. So, you check their social media accounts and wait for updates. Concerts can feel like that date you had with someone you fell in love with at first sight – you can’t wait to see them again.
Fan cams perfectly capture that personal moment you had with your favorite artist. But then again, there are two types of fans: those who love rewatching fancams to reminisce the emotion they felt then or those who hate seeing fan cams because it reminds them that it’s all in the past. Choose carefully or you might trigger your PCD again!
