PSA Rolls Out E-Certificate Service for Birth, Marriage, and Death Records

Feb 27, 2026   •   E. Torres

As resilient as Pinoys are, no one enjoys queueing for documents, especially if it takes half a day to secure a piece of paper. If you’ve been putting off that passport renewal or job application because you can’t find your adulting documents, you can officially stop stressing. The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) just gave the traditional ‘pila’ a much-needed digital makeover, offering an E-Certificate Service for birth, marriage, and death records online. Here is everything you need to know:

No more hassle with the PSA E-Certificate Service

PSA E-Certificate Service, a digital platform designed to make your civil registry needs secure and hassle-free, lets you get important documents at the tap of a finger. Aside from Birth, Marriage, and Death certificates, you can also request a Certificate of No Marriage (CENOMAR) and a Certificate of No Death (CENODEATH).

Every E-Cert comes in a high-resolution, perfectly legible digital original. Even better, every certificate you get is fully authentic and just as legally valid as the paper originals.

How to get your PSA E-Cert?

To get your PSA E-Certificates, follow these simple steps:

  • Head to the PSA E-Certificate Service website, click ‘Order E-Cert’.
  • Pick the type of E-Cert you need.
  • Specify for whom you are requesting the E-Cert (for yourself, a family member, or spouse).
  • Complete the Identity Verification requirement.
  • Once verified, you can directly download your AATL signed PDF E-Cert

The PSA advises that requested documents registered within the last three months (live births, newlyweds, recently deceased) at the Local Civil Registry Office may not be immediately available. They require a processing period to receive, verify, and convert these records into a digital format. Metro Manila residents might have to wait 2 to 4 months from the transmittal date, while those in the provinces have to wait at least 6 months.
