If we’re to rewrite Maslow’s hierarchy of needs according to the modern, digital world, at the bottom would be Wi-Fi and a gadget with a superb camera. It’s a fact of life that these two things are essential in an era where folks love to document their lives. But sometimes gadgets can get pretty expensive. If you’re already spending five digits for good seats at a concert or plane tickets, getting the latest smartphone or camera might be out of your budget. That’s why gadget rentals like the ones below are a lifesaver for Pinoys.
Rentspot PH is a camera and phone rental shop based in Lipa City, Batangas. They offer gadgets you can rent for cheap on a daily payment scheme. A camera for as low as Php 450 a day is quite a deal — you get the high-quality photos you need without paying for the whole unit. Rentspot PH’s current devices for rent include a range of Canon DSLR and Fujifilm cameras, GoPros units, an Insta 360 One X2, and an iPhone 15 Pro Max.
Those headed for vacations or concerts who want to maximize their experience can rent the iPhone 15 Pro Max at P1,500/day for two days and P2,000 for one day. Thinking of vlogging your first barkada trip of the year? The Fujifilm XA3 camera can be rented for P500/day. For something smaller and compact, the GoPro units start at P450/day and the Insta 360 One X2 is at P1,000/day. Those who want to test their hand at Canon cameras can rent one for as low as P600/day.
Rentspot PH also offers add-ons such as tripods, lenses, batteries, and memory cards.
Renting is simple. Rentspot PH will ask for a valid ID with an address, a billing statement with an address, a public social media account, and a signed agreement. During the gadget handover, the team will take a photo of the renter, or, for deliveries, the renter has to send a selfie with a valid ID. All gadgets have a P300 security reservation fee or 30% of the total rental fee.
Once the gadgets are in the renter’s possession, they have to take responsibility for any damages and pay the full cost of the repair if needed.
