An allegiance was formed between ISIS and some Brazilian group, and you know the threat is very much real after an emergency training drill and when the United Nations steps in.
Besides worrying about Zika, equestrian athletes will also now have to worry about an outbreak of glanders disease. This has prompted Brazilian officials to exterminate suspected horses to lessen the chance of equestrians contracting this disease.
Rio’s health secretary reiterated that Zika won’t pose any problem to the participating athletes, but this fear will hound not just the athletes, but also the tourists who probably don’t have the same level of health security.
Cases like water and gas leaks, blocked toilets and faulty wiring may have been sabotaged by no other than the (“unhappy”) workers at the Athletes’ village. This is perhaps due to the miniscule compensation these workers earn.
