Get ready to party! Shake Shack PH is turning five this May, and they’ve got quite a treat for Filipinos. Since its delicious debut in 2019, Shake Shack has grown into a Metro Manila mainstay with seven locations and an ever-evolving menu that caters to more than just burger lovers. To celebrate this milestone, they’ve got a whole lot planned, including a limited-edition birthday menu, eye-catching art collaborations, and even a brand new Shack opening!
“Reaching our 5-year milestone is an incredible achievement, and we owe it to our growing Shack community. We’ve been through a two-year global pause, and it was the hard work from our dedicated Shack teams and the continuous support from the Shack fans that kept us going and being the driving force behind our success. And for that, we’re truly grateful,” shares SSI Group, Inc. President and CEO Anton Huang.
Shake Shack has become a Filipino fan favorite. Over the years, its menu has expanded to include juicy chicken sandwiches in both white and dark meat, a delicious Ube Shake you won’t find anywhere else, and exciting limited-time specials.
And speaking of specials, are you ready to join the celebration? Here’s all you need to know about Shake Shack’s big birthday bash!
Proudly keeping it real with the best premium ingredients, Shake Shack’s limited-time birthday menu is inspired by a Filipino favorite—sisig! From May 10 to July 10, 2024, savor local flavor at all Manila Shacks for dine-in, takeaway, delivery, and online orders.
Sink your teeth into the Crackle Shack Burger (P385)—a 100% all-natural Angus beef patty topped with sisig sauce, red onion, green chili, and crispy bagnet chicharron. The sisig sauce is a harmonious blend of savory, tangy, and slightly spicy flavors, reminiscent of sisig’s rich, sizzling goodness. With the right balance of acidity from calamansi, depth from soy sauce, and a kick from chili peppers, the sauce elevates every bite of the burger, creating a burst of crispy and meaty flavors.
The Crackle Shack Fries (P290)— are crinkle-cut fries smothered with sisig sauce, red onion, spicy green chili, and crispy bagnet chicharron.
Dubbed Crackle Shack by Jose Simbillo, the winner behind the Name that Burger Giveaway, these limited-time offerings will leave you with a satisfying cracklin’ crunch to every bite. And what better way to wash them down than with fresh, local thirst quenchers?
Check out the Guava Lemonade (P170 for small and P210 for large)—shackmade lemonade blended with sweet guava puree. It’s available starting May 1 and for a limited time only. There’s also the ShackMeister Ale (P200, 330ml bottle) – a light, hoppy beer exclusively brewed for Shake Shack by Engkanto Brewery.
And what’s a meal without dessert? Starting May 10, Shack fans across Metro Manila will now be able to enjoy the country-exclusive Uuube-by Baby Concrete (P270 for single and P375 for double), featuring vanilla frozen custard blended with ube, coconut creme, ube cookie, macapuno, sago pearls, and crispy pinipig, crowned with leche flan.
Shake Shack stands firm in its commitment to Stand For Something Good through its continued partnership with Ayala Foundation Inc., which benefits CENTEX by enabling it to provide holistic educational programs that promote student, parent, and teacher development for underserved Filipino children.
“Ayala Foundation is dedicated to our mission to build communities that thrive. Supporting DepEd through CENTEX, we aspire to help students realize their full potential and contribute to national development,” said Tony Lambino, President of Ayala Foundation.
As a headlining component of its fifth-year Anniversary campaign, Shake Shack collaborated with local talented illustrator and designer Jethro Olba together with Ayala Foundation and CENTEX for the Shack Meets Art: Shack X Centex Design Competition.
Held at CENTEX Batangas last March 22, the competition saw eight groups competing to design the newest Shack Swags. The winning design showcases the Shack Jeep and Shack Fiesta characters drawn by Jrex Mendoza, Driana Krystal Banta, Sophia Ysabelle Castillo, Mel Arexiandrei Maranan, and Princess Elyza Raz. Recognized for his distinctive style characterized by squiggly lines and artwork inspired by the pop culture of yesteryears, Jethro Olba lends a playful and nostalgic touch to the design to render an updated look to the Shack PH visual icon. These visual cues will be featured in the Shack tees and sticker packs, and 5% of its sales from May 10 to 17 will go to CENTEX.
This creative collaboration with Olba can be extensively seen on the other Shack Anniversary swags featuring fun tote bags and umbrellas, as well as on the Crackle Shack menu packaging. A visual narrative of the joy and nostalgia associated with local fiestas (or festivals), Olba’s design depicts whimsical imagery of bayanihan, or the Filipino communal spirit, while embracing diversity, inclusivity, and youth.
Soon enough, Filipinos will have reasons to check in early as Shake Shack opens its eighth branch in NAIA Terminal 3, pre-departure. Opening this May, first-time or frequent flyers can get their fill of ShackBurgers, Cheese Fries, and Shakes before jetting to another destination.
“We invite the Shack community to come celebrate with us, to create more opportunities to Stand For Something Good and to simply appreciate the joys of being and gathering together in a space that serves good eats and fosters uplifting experiences,” concludes Huang.
