This week’s biggest and most exciting event is Taylor Swift releasing her second re-recorded album, Red (Taylor’s Version), on Friday, November 12. And ahead of the anticipated day, it looks like coffee chain Starbucks is set to have a collab with the Artist of the Decade herself. Will Swifties finally be able to say “Starbucks lovers” without being guilty of botching lyrics? What’s going to be on the menu? And will this be available in the Philippines? Here’s what we found out.
It’s Red Season. ☕️✨🧣❤️

Swifties aren’t the only ones celebrating the singer’s upcoming release. Starbucks looks poised to welcome it too. On November 9, the coffee chain’s official Twitter account posted a tweet about “Red Season” and finished it off with a bunch of emojis including a red scarf. Swifties were quick to interpret that it was a hint on an upcoming team-up. A number of reasons justify this wild guess. Autumn is Taylor’s favorite season, “All Too Well” (which is a Red track) had lyrics infamously referencing a scarf, and, finally, the title of the album is literally Red (Taylor’s Version). It’s Red Season indeed.
We know all too well how exciting this time of year is, and we’ll forever & always love it: Our red holiday cups and drinks are back! https://t.co/3nzlWsMFJg

But if that isn’t enough, Starbucks proceeded to act mysteriously, answering Swifties’ collab accusations with titles of Taylor’s songs and a few lyrics too. “All Too Well” was referenced above and here’s one on “Begin Again”:
We’re excited for the holiday season to begin again!
— Starbucks Coffee (@Starbucks) November 8, 2021
The coffee chain even cheekily echoed Taylor’s “not a lot going on at the moment” line. Throwback to 2020, when she used that line on a caption to fool everyone, and then, a mere few weeks later, she surprised us with a whole album, folklore.
We’re just in a holiday vibe right now, not a lot going on at the moment otherwise. ✨

long story short… you might be onto something.

Here’s to throwing your head back laughing like a little kid. ☕️

We appreciate the concern, but you need to calm down. We have full control of our account. ❤️

This is Swiftie-baiting at its finest and everyone is here for it!
Not convinced yet? Well, maybe Taylor’s Insta post is the ultimate proof. On her first reel, she declared “Red Season.” On the next one geotagged to “I LOVE THE FALL,” Taylor gushed about how much she, you guessed it, loves the golden season. “Basic autumn lovers RISE,” she captioned with autumn leaves and a red scarf emoji. And then she proceeded to list things about this season she absolutely loves — hats, scarves, knee socks, and, yes, drinking “pumpkin-flavored stuff” while brandishing a Starbucks cup. BOOM. Take that, skeptics. That’s a solid Starbucks x Taylor Swift collab hint right there.
according to a reliable insider, starbucks will release a taylor swift drink on november 12th celebrating #RedTaylorsVersion ! pic.twitter.com/zplGA3arjj
— Taylor Throwbacks🧣 (@ThrowbackTaylor) November 7, 2021
Starbucks Taylor’s Version menu is rumored to include two beverages: Caramel Light Latte and Iced Caramel Light Latte which are apparently Taylor’s favorite drinks. They will also be served in cups brandishing a “Taylor’s Version” label which we all know we’ll keep for the rest of our lives. The collab will allegedly launch on the weekend, November 12, Red (Taylor’s Version) release day, and will go on until November 19.
‼️RUMOR: This would be the possible banner of Taylor’s collaboration with Starbucks according to the Mexican source.

And now, the moment of truth, will Filipino Swifties be able to be part of this exciting collab? It looks like we might. While there’s no official announcement yet (again, there’s no official announcement on the existence of this collab *wink, wink*), Taylor Swift fan accounts got in touch with Starbucks baristas who conspiratorially confirmed the collab will be available in countries like the USA, Canada, Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, and the Philippines. Eeeep! Fingers crossed these aren’t just rumors.
The track lengths of @taylorswift13‘s #RedTaylorsVersion has been unveiled!
The album will be 2 hours and 10 minutes long, and All Too Well 10 minute version is 10:13 long. pic.twitter.com/IPYT5N9129

All of this excitement leads up to the big day where Taylor will be dropping her album. It has 31 tracks and will run for 2 hours and 10 minutes. There are 9 bonus songs including a 10-minute version of “All Too Well” plus new songs in collaboration with Phoebe Bridgers, Ed Sheeran, and Chris Stapleton.
As if the re-recorded album isn’t enough of a treat, Swifties will also be spoiled with a short film written and directed by Taylor herself. It stars Taylor alongside Sadie Sink (Stranger Things) and Dylan O’Brien (Maze Runner). Nothing is revealed on the plot yet but if it’s a Taylor masterpiece, expect to shed tears.
“All Too Well” is undoubtedly one of the biggest tracks on Red and when Taylor sang it during “The RED Tour” in 2015, she blew Filipino Swifties away. This will go down in history as the first time Taylor smiled while singing this song live. A win for the Philippines, if you ask me.
