There are two kinds of people at Noche Buena: (1) the people who (quite literally) bring something to the table, and (2) those who are just there to pig out. If you’re part of the latter group and you’re a grown adult, take this as your sign to step up this year. You don’t even need to know how to cook — there are plenty of great options you can just purchase or whip up with minimal effort!
If you plan on ordering, however, YOU GOTTA PLAN EARLY. Trust us, if you wait till the last minute to get moving you’re just going to wind up empty-handed. So to get you started, we’ve rounded up some festive options that almost everyone will be happy to indulge in on Christmas Eve:
This traditional Spanish bread is a true crowd-pleaser. A round sweet bread, it has raisins and candied fruit, and comes in two flavors: plain and chocolate. Order here for ₱475+.
Cocktails are always a hit with the crowd, and the Hendricks Cranberry Fizz is as festive as they come. All you need is Hendricks gin, cranberry juice, some sparkling wine, and cucumber slices or mint for garnish. For the recipe, visit Hendricks’ official website.
You can’t go wrong with Cebu-style lechon from Rico’s Lechon. Note that they don’t deliver on December 24, 25, 26, 30, 31, and January 1 — you’ll have to pick up. Don’t want to splurge on a whole lechon? You can get order one (or more) of their party plates by messaging them on Facebook or calling your nearest branch! They just opened a branch in Festival Mall, Alabang, and are opening more branches in Mandaluyong and Cebu.
