Philippine television has many iconic moments that have become part of Pinoy humor. They’re oftentimes referenced casually in conversations, and there are some moments that makes a mark in a celebrity’s identity. We know Marian Rivera as the face of Marimar (2007) and Dyesebel (2008) to name a few, but she has a number of bloopers too. This iconic live performance was in 2013, during an episode of Sunday noontime and variety show Party Pilipinas. It resurfaced five years later, became viral, and the rest is history.

Joined by her husband Dingdong Dantes, the couple had a Q&A session during Team DongYan’s Party and 10^th Wedding Anniversary Fans Celebration on December 14, 2024.

Dingdong asked about his wife’s favorite meme and she started singing “Unfaithful,” sending fans into laughter. “Music please,” Marian joked.

“Galing akong taping nun, sobrang puyat ako. Tapos sabi niya (show technician) ‘Ito kakantahin mo,’” Marian started sharing. “Hindi ko alam to, bahala na,” she added.

Apparently, she didn’t know that the mic was already on, and you know about live broadcasts: there are no take twos. “Tuwing nakikita ko ‘yun, natatawa ako sa sarili ko,” Marian ended.

Now that we’re into some of her iconic lines, you can’t forget her French skills in the Philippine adaptation of Korean drama Temptation of Wife, which she starred in with Dennis Trillo. It’s also become one of her most famous memes!

Another hilarious Marian Rivera moment was when she became of the judges to the Century Tuna Superbods 2024. She delivered her question in Filipino but when the contestant asked for an English version of it, she hilariously accommodated the request and started with, “I will try my best. Are you ready for this? Listen very carefully,” which made the audience laugh.

Marian is a talented actress, and we all see it, given how she’s still well-beloved by Pinoys more than 10 years later in her career. Her MMFF film with her husband, Rewind (2023), became the highest-grossing film in the festival’s history after garnering a total of P924 million. It was hailed as the highest-grossing Philippine film of all time until it was surpassed by Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richard’s 2024 film, Hello, Love, Again.
