Taylor Swift made history as Time Magazine‘s Person of the Year, the first for an entertainer. In a sense, we’ve all seen it coming. Taylor, after all, owns this year. From her Eras Tour which is projected to become the biggest of all time to the release of her Taylor’s Version albums (chart-toppers!), it’s safe to say Blondie has got the world obsessed with her. “No one else on the planet today can move so many people so well,” said Time editor Sam Jacobs. The pair have managed to put Swifties in a coma from how sweet they are in public. There’s the hand-holding in front of the paps, driving around town in a convertible, eating at restaurants. Let’s not forget, Taylor attending Travis’ games and her iconic lyric swap for “Karma” (“Karma is the guy on the Chiefs, coming straight home to me”). As time went on, Swifties wanted to know more about the relationship. Thankfully, Taylor and Travis don’t seem to be shying from the public. Here are the sweetest things they’ve said about each other so far.

Travis is a great example of the saying “Shoot your shot.” Back in July, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end player recounted his failed attempt at meeting the singer when he came to her Eras Tour. He said he was disappointed he didn’t get to give her a friendship bracelet with his number on it.

On his profile for The Wall Street Journal, Travis said people helped him reach out to Taylor. “There were definitely people she knew that knew who I was, in her corner [who said]: ‘Yo! Did you know he was coming?’ I had somebody playing Cupid.”

“She’ll probably hate me for saying this, but…when she came to Arrowhead, they gave her the big locker room as a dressing room, and her little cousins were taking pictures…in front of my locker,” he added.

Taylor: “Travis adorably put me on blast on his podcast.”

What’s Taylor’s version of events? The 33-year-old singer confirmed that’s how they met. “This all started when Travis very adorably put me on blast on his podcast, which I thought was metal as hell,” she said in her profile for Time. “We started hanging out right after that. So we actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I’m grateful for, because we got to get to know each other.

How they went from a podcast shoutout to Taylor running up to Travis and kissing him in front of the fans is just too sweet.

If you’re wondering, yep, Travis has got the Swifties’ approval. With Taylor coming from a long-term super private relationship, many are rejoicing that she isn’t keeping this one under wraps. Travis, golden retriever boyfriend that he is, is even more excited to tell the world he’s dating her

“Blank Space was one I wanted to hear live for sure,” he said. “‘I could make a bad guy good for the weekend.’ That’s a helluva line…I’ve never been a man of words. Being around her, seeing how smart Taylor is, has been f—ing mind-blowing. I’m learning every day.”

Taylor has been to a handful of Travis’ football games. She’s almost a permanent fixture up there on that box with Travis’ friends and family. “I’m just there to support Travis,” she says in her Time profile. “I have no awareness of if I’m being shown too much and pissing off a few dads, Brads, and Chads.”

And right here is where she dropped the big news: “By the time I went to that first game, we were a couple. I think some people think that they saw our first date at that game? We would never be psychotic enough to hard launch a first date.”

The first time Taylor watched Travis’ football game last September 24, they were already a couple. The hard launch of it all!

“That was the biggest thing to me: make sure I don’t say anything that would push Taylor away,” Travis says, sharing why he was guarded with the media at first.

“Obviously I’ve never dated anyone with that kind of aura about them. I’ve never dealt with it. But at the same time, I’m not running away from any of it,” said the football player. “The scrutiny she gets, how much she has a magnifying glass on her, every single day, paparazzi outside her house, outside every restaurant she goes to, after every flight she gets off, and she’s just living, enjoying life. When she acts like that I better not be the one acting all strange.”

Taylor: “We’re proud of each other.”

Have you ever seen Blondie be this public about her love and have her partner be as publicly loud about his affections? Because we haven’t and it’s a refreshing sight to see.

“When you say a relationship is public, that means I’m going to see him do what he loves, we’re showing up for each other, other people are there and we don’t care,” she says. “The opposite of that is you have to go to an extreme amount of effort to make sure no one knows that you’re seeing someone. And we’re just proud of each other.”

Did Taylor just find The One? Swifties certainly think so. Ultimately, only time will tell but we’re keeping our fingers crossed and blasting “End Game” on repeat.
