The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) has welcomed the launch of the TESDA Skills Passport on Friday, February 6. It’s an initiative by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) created to help Filipino professionals gain a competitive edge in the global labor market.

The TESDA Skills Passport is an app that combines online learning, certification management, job matching, scholarships, and location-based support into a single platform. Think of it as your digital portfolio to securely store, manage, and showcase your skills and credentials. The best part? Even non-TESDA graduates can use the app!

What’s inside the app?

Packed with powerful features, the TESDA Skills Passport empowers you to manage your professional journey at your fingertips for job seekers, freelancers, and even employers.

Job seekers can use the app to:

• Explore diverse job opportunities curated from TESDA’s partner job platforms, such as customer service representative, data analyst, licensed medical technologist, and trade marketing manager. 
• Showcase their services, as freelancers, and get matched with clients and fellow users.
• Get assistance from TESDA Skills Passport’s built-in AI chatbot, Professor K, to answer your TESDA-related questions and concerns instantly.

For those who want to upskill, the app also allows you to:

• Enroll in e-TESDA courses via the Learning Paths feature. These courses include Optimizing Digital Marketing Campaign, Developing Designs for Product Packaging, Diagnosing and Overhauling Engine Mechanical Systems, and Introduction to Caregiving.
• Easily find the nearest TESDA Technology Institutions, private and public Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) centers, and accredited assessment centers.  
• Apply for scholarships digitally with the Biometric-enabled Scholarship Registration System (BRSS).

The app isn’t only for potential employees, but also for companies and employers who are hiring. Employers can streamline recruitment and avoid mismatches by simply swiping. Swipe left if they don’t fit the role and swipe right to connect with the perfect hire.

• Complete the face verification process to prove your identity.

• Build your profile and input your personal details.
• Verify your email address to activate your account.
