The Bursts of Nostalgia and Fun Under the Rain

Aug 10, 2018   •   8List

5. Playing songs that make you reminisce

The rain has always been a great backdrop for being playfully sentimental. How many times did you pretend you were in a music video while you looked wistfully out the window? You intentionally played sad songs that matched the gloomy skies but this didn’t necessarily mean you were always sad during the rain, it just made you appreciate the mood of the environment more. You survived another season of the unrelenting heat of summer, after all.

6. Sharing an umbrella

Sharing an umbrella with friends often happens, and it’s because one of your friends were probably too lazy to bring their own. But there was also a time when you shared an umbrella with a special someone. It’s just you and that person under an umbrella, a secluded world curtained by water while the rest of the city is being drenched. Your heart hammers at the proximity and it’s these sweet times that will get stamped in your thoughts forever.

7. Waking up to the sound of the rain and having that bed weather feel

In a bustling city, the rain acts as a much needed pause for everybody. Sudden class and work cancellations are blessings! The rain gives us the feeling that the world has somehow stopped for a while and we get to rest in bed all day in our jackets and sweaters. It’s the bed/sweater weather feel and how we relish it! How relaxing is it to sleep and wake up to the sound of rain on your window? It makes you want to fall asleep even longer!

8. All the food and drinks that await you

Rainy days are exciting for a lot of things but we look forward to food the most! Rainy days mean having a warm bowl of champorado with tuyo for breakfast and sinigang for lunch. Sure you can have these even during summer or during other months of the year but it’s so much more special during the cold weather.

Although the weather might look gloomy, having a movie marathon curled up in bed or walking home in the rain doesn’t have to be. Brighten your days with a sip of Zest-O Sunburst Select, a fruit juice perfect for any season!
