4. Your Father was the Pathfinder

Bioware established that the man seen in teasers wearing N7 armor is your father, Alec Ryder. According to lore, he’s one of the pioneers who accompanied Jon Grissom on humanity’s first trip through a mass relay, and has since become a Shepard class bad ass. The big new trailer, voiced by Clancy Brown as Alec, reveals that not all went well on the Andromeda mission.

3. There will be multiplayer again.

You can already pre-order Mass Effect Andromeda and store details confirm existing rumors of multiplayer in the form of in-game boosters. Intrepid Internet sleuths have revealed settlement defense and artifact recovery missions to be a part of the game, which can be completed in co-op with friends. A Horde mode similar to Mass Effect 3 multiplayer will also be included.

2. The villains and the mcguffins are…

A once powerful and mysterious alien race not unlike the Protheans, the Remnants have left behind vaults and monoliths which testify to their former dominance over the Andromeda galaxy. Searching for artifacts in these structures form a key part of the narrative, but your not alone in your search. An aggressive race known as the Khet will attempt to outpace your quest, all while attacking your outposts.

1. Paragon and renegade no more.

Mass Effect games scored you against the measures of Paragon and Renegade to tell you how much of a lawful do-gooder and all-around badass your character was. Director Mac Walters said that there will be choices that “feel Paragon and Renegade,” but they won’t be labeled as such. Those bad ass conversational interrupts will be back though, so you can relive moments like these:
