Composed of talented members Soobin (group leader), Yeonjun, Beomgyu, Taehyun, and Hueningkai, TOMORROW X TOGETHER is a five-member boy band under Big Hit Music, the home of K-pop megastars BTS. They’ve been on a global takeover since 2019, producing chart-topping albums and singles that are setting the music world ablaze. TXT’s documentary just dropped on Disney+, and it’s a real eye-opener that’s full of captivating revelations. Here are just eight of them:
The K-pop industry is a dog-eat-dog world. Countless idol hopefuls train for years, wishing to become a household name in the industry someday. TXT may have debuted four years ago, but mastering the art of perfection is a never-ending road for the pop quintet. Whether it’s a live stage performance or another fan meeting, TXT pours their hearts out into everything they do.
“We don’t have seasons. We’re always in the studio,” Beomgyu said. “We’re like cicadas. We practice for six to seven months, then it’s two weeks before performing. I think that’s why we lost track of the seasons.”
TXT’s electrifying performances in last year’s Lollapalooza solidified their position at the forefront of the K-pop phenomenon. Beyond their remarkable talent, TXT’s confidence, energy, and commitment left a lasting impact on everybody who witnessed their set, which lasted over half an hour. Their stage presence demands more than just loud cheers; it commands admiration and respect for their dedication to their craft.
K-pop fans often get a bad rap, but no one can deny their support is unlike any other. Throughout the documentary, MOAs (TXT’s official fandom name) express how much TXT made them happy with their music and for simply being TXT. (ICYDK, MOA stands for “Moments of Alwaysness”, referring to how the boys and their fans will be together forever and always. Awww.)
Any K-pop group could be the most talented, but without teamwork, it would take more than talent to make it in the industry. From strangers sharing the same dream of becoming idols, TXT cultivated a deep family-like bond where they could count on one another, on and off camera. You can see a remarkable level of love, respect, and understanding that transcends their differences.
Through this compelling documentary, MOAs get to see the K-pop quintet away from the loud cheers and glitzy performances. Despite their immense popularity, it makes you realize the boys, at their core, are just like everybody else. They find joy in the simplest things, like food, a scenic beach view, or even just relaxing quietly in a hotel room.
Even though they’ve been conquering countless live stages for years, TXT isn’t an invincible force from unforeseen setbacks. When Beomgyu wasn’t feeling well during their world concert tour, the rest of TXT made sure he was okay. The boys always look after one another without compromising their performances on stage. They’re a team, and no mishap would ever change that.
TXT’s never shy to express their love and admiration to MOAs. Last year, Hueningkai even named a MOA’s baby during their “ACT: LOVE SICK” world tour. They have this unbreakable bond with their fans that’s just so endearing.
Take it from Soobin, who says, “Even though I couldn’t enjoy all my performances, I always gave my best because I wanted to repay the fans for their love, and express my love for them as well. That’s why I worked so hard.”
Soaring high on success, TXT shows no signs of stopping. TXT’s one of the headliners in this year’s Lollapalooza, alongside other global superstars like Billie Eilish, Kendrick Lamar, and Lana Del Rey. The K-pop boyband is also back to serenade Filipino MOAs for their “ACT: Sweet Mirage” on August 13, following their two-night “ACT: LOVE SICK” concert.
TXT’s boundless talent and unwavering passion brought them where they are now, and we can’t wait to see them shine brighter in the future.
