The 8 Types of Exes Every Girl’s Likely to Have

By Therese Aseoche

SHAD

Among the long list of labels the generation before us take time to come up with in an effort to “understand” Millennials is that we are “Commitment Phobic.”

Phone apps like Tinder and Grindr exist with the sole purpose of helping us find someone for a mere one- or two-time hook-up. We go through so many dates with different kinds of people in search for the one who would be everything we’ve ever wanted in a life partner. And throughout the process, we’ve walked out on so many lives which we may or may not have regretted doing, the same way that we’ve experienced being walked out on by people we may or may not have imagined we’d ever lose.

Our exes come in different shapes, sizes, colors, and personalities. Which of these types are like yours?

8. The Best Friend

This was your Lover-Turned-Best-Friend who understood you the most. You two felt that your relationship couldn’t go further romantically, but you refuse to stay out of each other’s lives completely. “You can’t be friends with your ex”? You two beg to differ.

7. The Booty Call

No matter how many times your friends tell you to stop calling this ex, you still do because no one can satisfy you like they can.

6. The Houdini

This type took “It’s Over” seriously, disappearing from your life completely. No trace online, no word from common friends. Nothing.

5. The Hulk

They’re more furious than they are bitter over the break up and the events leading up to it. They’re way over you, but that doesn’t mean they’ll stop giving you death glares every time you meet along the hallway or on the street.
