Happy weekend! We hope you’re getting some much-needed rest after your long work week, and we hope you’re getting much-deserved serotonin in these hard times. Well, if you haven’t had your dose of serotonin yet, check out these weird things on the internet that just may induce a laugh or two out of you.
This one Tiktoker decided to take Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque’s self-camera video on the beach and turn it into a song. Could this be a career on the sideline for our spox?
@spaghettandmeatball##TimeWarpScan ##fyp I look so sad but I’ve been doing this for so long it’s so fun
Elsewhere on Tiktok, people are transforming themselves into characters in a Tim Burton movie. How? They use the Time Warp Scan filter, letting it travel down the screen (not across!), and using two fingers to slightly pull the bottom of your eyes open. To create the hollowed-out cheekbones, drag your fingers down your cheeks. And voila! You’re a Tim Burton character.
Daniel Kaluuya confirms he is developing a live-action ‘BARNEY’ film.
“Barney taught us, ‘I love you, you love me. Won’t you say you love me too?’ That’s one of the first songs I remember, and what happens when that isn’t true?”

For the 1990s and 2000s kids, this very purple dinosaur is probably familiar to you. It’s been years since the Barney and Friends series has ended, and now Barney might be on the big screen next, with news of a live-action movie being in the works. Actor Daniel Kaluuya (Black Panther) is one of the producers, but in an interview with EW, he explained why he wants to be involved in this project:
“Barney taught us, ‘I love you, you love me. Won’t you say you love me too?’ That’s one of the first songs I remember, and what happens when that isn’t true? I thought that was really heartbreaking. I have no idea why but it feels like that makes sense. It feels like there’s something unexpected that can be poignant but optimistic. Especially at this time now, I think that’s really, really needed.”
We’re not quite sure how a ‘live-action’ movie with Barney would work — are they using a mascot again? Or is it more of Godzilla-type of CGI? — but if the reason behind it is as heartfelt as Kaluuya’s, then we’d like to see this childhood character onscreen too.
Some fishermen in Indonesia caught an adult shark and was in the process of gutting it when they discovered this tiny odd creature in its belly. Say hello to this baby albino shark. It has a strange milky color, characteristic of albinism, and it only has one eye in the middle of its head. This is due to Cyclopia, a birth deformity that causes an embryo to form only one eye instead of two. The tiny cyclops was already dead upon discovery.
Usually cheap and quick to serve, a parmo is an English dish consisting of a breaded cutlet of meat topped with bechamel sauce and cheese. Quick and easy, right? But this one restaurant decided that nope, they’ve got to make it fancy. They covered it with 24-carat gold and caviar. We’re not sure why they thought it’d be a good combination, but some people did say they like it. To each their own, I guess.
This week’s weird find is this huggable NSFW body pillow that might get you some weird, judgmental looks at home, but it looks like it’s definitely comfy for when you just want to cuddle. You can get it here
The Flaming Lips performed a gig in bubbles to an audience also in bubbles last night. pic.twitter.com/XzNRKWvPn4

There hasn’t been a shortage of odd coping mechanisms to the new normal. In the US, the band Flaming Lips performed inside a ‘bubble’ to an audience who were also separated in their own individual ‘bubbles.’ This isn’t the first time the band has done this (they’ve done similar performances in The Late Late Show with Stephen Colbert and NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert), but we’d like to think this is social distancing done right.
Actress Kim Chiu had been on set for her upcoming movie U-Turn when she posted this photo. She was advised by a psychic friend to leave the room immediately because apparently, someone was watching her — a tikbalang. “Mayroon daw tikbalang. Ba’t ganun? May mata, may ilong, may kamay,” the actress said in an interview. Can you see it? Meron ba talaga? There’s some spooky news for you just in time for the season. Happy halloween, y’all!
