Apparently, cows emit methane gas (a greenhouse gas) thru their farts, which essentially contributes to the critical rising of global temperature. In order to reduce greenhouse emissions, Argentinian farmers have come up with a pretty weird, but innovative solution: Store them in backpacks. INTA Informa, a leading agribusiness institution in the country, said that strapping backpacks onto cows can fill up to 300 liters of methane per cow per day. This amount of gas can run a refrigerator for 24 hours.
Scrolling through your Facebook timeline can be such a huge facepalm, especially if you come across things you wish you hadn’t seen. This week, for one, is the NSFW photo of the so-called “Camel Toe Challenge” which, according to the photo, is for cervical cancer awareness. A lot of people joked about the challenge, but none seem to be brave enough to do it (except one porn star and two random people on Twitter). It’s probably because the challenge is just completely made up. Plus, who in their right minds would flaunt their vajayjays on the internet?
In an attempt to raise awareness about fertility issues such as failing birth rates, the Italian Health minister has proclaimed September 22 as “fertility day.” But this campaign, especially its promotional posters and (now offline) game, earned a lot of backlash on Twitter, tagging their encouragement to procreate as “misogynistic.” Some posters even advised women to have children as soon as possible, with some claimed “being young parents is the best way to be creative.” Really, Health people?
It’s September again! And aside from the chilly weather and bazaars left and right, there’s one thing we can’t help but look forward to: holiday songs! *cue “Christmas in our Hearts” intro beat* Tons of Jose Mari Chan memes and song lyrics took over our Facebook walls lately, and even before September hit and we must say, it’s a nonstop LSS-ing to his classic Christmas songs again. Ah, sweet, sweet childhood. Merry Christmas, weirdos!
