It’s the most wonderful time of the year! You can hear Christmas songs everywhere, and public places are decked out with colorful, twinkling lights and the most vibrant decorations. While there are plenty of Christmas trees and lights you can witness around the metro, you might be planning to celebrate differently this year by going out of town. Checkout these Christmas lights and displays you wouldn’t want to miss:
Location: Itogon, Benguet

Looking for a new spot to visit near Baguio? Mt. Camisong Forest Park and Events is a newly opened spot known for its scenic glass walkway that juts out into the mountains. This yuletide season, Mt. Camisong is celebrating Marahuyo Pasko, featuring Christmas lights and live music until January 4, 2026.

Location: Crosswinds Drive, Tagaytay
Do you want the same bone-chilling weather and breeze, but don’t want to drive for five hours? Tagaytay is your next best location this season. Crosswinds Tagaytay is once again hosting the Trail of Lights, where you can enjoy picture-taking at its different Christmas installations. After exploring, rest and recharge by visiting some of their restaurants, including Balustre Filipino Restaurant, Napa at Crosswinds, and Windmill Lausanne.

Snow in the Philippines? While that’s not possible because of the weather, you can enjoy a semblance of it at Baguio Country Club’s Christmas Village. Aside from a gigantic Christmas tree and lights, tourists are treated to different installations around the village. If you’re visiting with kids, they will have fun on the Carousel Ride (PHP 100) and in the Ball Pit (PHP 100). The village is open until January 4, 2025, so plan accordingly!
Ticket prices: PHP 200 for adults, PHP 160 for kids, and PHP 143 for PWDs and senior citizens.
Location: San Fernando, Pampanga
If your family takes decorating for Christmas seriously, you’ve probably tried sourcing your parol or lanterns from famous spots like San Fernando, Pampanga. The city is known for the Giant Lantern Festival, which is a competition among various barangays. Don’t worry if you missed the vibrant festival, as you can still view the competing lanterns until January 1, 2025. The exhibition takes place in various locations around Angeles City and Pampanga, and admission is free.
Going coastal this holiday season? If you’re driving to La Union for your Christmas celebration, head to the La Union Capitol’s Filipino-Chinese Friendship Pagoda to witness lit ornaments and locally-made lanterns.

The heritage town of Taal, Batangas, is known for its well-preserved houses and local eats. If you don’t want to go on a drive all the way to Vigan, you can explore this quaint town instead. When you visit, make sure to stay after dark and head to the Basilica for Taal Pailaw 2025.

Looking for more green spaces to explore? Nestled in Sta. Rosa, Laguna, the Nuvali/Solenad area is known for its parks, bike lanes, and running paths. It’s an ideal place to walk around, feed the koi, dine, and shop. This season, Ayala Malls Solenad is decorated with a vibrant display, featuring a giant Christmas tree and lights throughout the mall’s open grounds.

Headed to the Queen City of the South this season? You can still feel the Christmas cheer even when you’re far from home when you head to V. Rama Avenue for Pasko sa V. Rama, a light show that has been an annual celebration for three decades already. What started as a small community project by Cebu City’s former mayor, Michael Rama, has become a tradition that Cebuanos look forward to every year. The 4-kilometer avenue is decked with installations and decor that will excite every visitor.
