This March, local brands and establishments are celebrating International Women’s Month with events, discussions, and cultural showcases to honor women. From discounts on tattoos and piercings to free bus rides and museum entrance fees, don’t miss out on these opportunities to empower the women in your life.

For the girlies who’ve been dying to get a tattoo or a piercing, Tattoo Nebula’s Women’s Month offer is hard to resist. From March 8 until March 17, girls can book any combination of services (tattoo, piercing, cosmetic tattoos) and enjoy a 15% discount for each participant. Each group has to have a minimum of 2 participants and a maximum of 8. Tattoo Nebula also offers the discount at their March 16 pop-up at Ugly Duck in Poblacion, Makati.

GRRRLS’ NIGHT OUT

Celebrate International Women’s Day at GRRRLS’ NIGHT OUT, Manila’s first-ever variety show showcasing an all-female and queer roster of performers from across Manila’s thriving alternative arts scene. The event will feature a supersized lineup of up-and-coming performers such as musicians Faye Yu, Super P, DJ Honey, stand-up comedian Lady Boses, and performance artist Burlesque PH.

Throughout the night, a mini bazaar will also feature female-led and ally businesses such as sanitary products Nala Woman, pleasure brand Ilya, Miss Pokes Tattoo, Bao Artisan Candles, Crazy Carabao Beer, and more.

GRRRLS’ NIGHT OUT is happening at 6 pm on March 9 at 123Block in Mandala Park, Mandaluyong. Tickets are now available online.

 

2024 Girl Power Virtual Run

Pinoy Fitness will host a FREE Girl Power Virtual Run from March 9-17, 2024. Participants can choose from three distances: 5K, 10K, and 21K, allowing them to set their own goals and challenge themselves according to their abilities. Download the Pinoy Fitness Atleta app (Google Play, Apple Store) and register for the virtual race. Use a GPS-tracking running app to track your race and take a photo of your result. Once you submit your run, you’ll get a virtual badge.

 

Bloom: A Women’s Month Celebration of Resilience and Mental Well-Being

Bloom imagines a world where burnout doesn’t hold women back. The week-long celebration happening on March 11-15, 2024 will feature empowering workshops with inspiring stories of women who bloomed after burnout. It will also include practical tools to combat stress and discover one’s inner strength. Workshops include Zumba dance, cooking, facials, mani-pedi, eyebrow shaping, dental checkups, and more. Concert at the Park

Across three Sundays, there will be performances from Los Estudiantes Band 95, Worldship Orchestra Spring 2024, and Band 48 Lumanug in Concert plus special solo performances.
