8 Horror Web Comics to Read at Night—If You Dare

Oct 16, 2019   •   Mandy Decena

It’s been years since the Bongcheon-Dong Ghost, a South Korean horror web comic by Horang, scared the living daylights out of us. Everyone was amazed by the art style and the special effects that added life into it.

But did you know there are more of its kind within the internet? These web comics have goosebumps-inducing stories that are accompanied by stunning visual effects and chilling sounds to immerse you in a thrilling horror experience.

Here are 8 horror web comics that we dare you to read at night.

The Past Life Game by DEY

If you were given the chance to take a peek at your past life, would you take it? What if it costs you your current life, would you still dare? The Past Life Game shows us the consequences of trying to pry into the things that should be left alone.

Peephole by Honeybee

The feeling of being secretly watched is something we’ve all experienced and one that we all don’t want to feel ever again. But what’s scarier is when we can no longer identify which is real and which is a fragment in our imagination. Peephole takes this paranoia to the extremes and shows us the frightening effects of it.

Somi’s Ghost by Horang

There are times when it’s better to keep our noses out of someone else’s business. Be careful about turning a blind eye to someone in need, though, you might end up receiving part of the blame—and a haunting phone call along with it.

Somi’s Ghost is a part of the Unknown Caller anthology which is exclusive to the mobile app and uses augmented reality which gives an extra flare to the scare.

Live by Danwoo

Some things may start out as fun and games but if we mess with the paranormal, things are bound to end in tragedy. Live takes us through the terrifying experience of watching a live broadcast gone wrong.

Peek by Sini & Pogo

We’ve all been in that situation where a mysterious new girl comes into class. Peek is a gentle reminder to be nice to that new girl, you never know what she got up her sleeves—or under her hair.

Baby Journal by Jinsoo Bae

A mother’s narrative, a collage of disturbing images and a sick twist, Baby Journal takes us through the mind of a deranged woman as she talked about her experience with motherhood.

Tabloids by Yeowon

Cursed chain mails had been around for a long time that we had grown more confident about ignoring them when we receive one. However, Tabloid might just give you the sudden urge to forward all those pending chain messages after reading it.

Ghost in Masung Tunnel by Horang

Traveling is already a risky thing—stepping out of the comforts of your home, meeting all these strangers and not knowing what kind of events you may encounter. Add the paranormal into the blend and you’ll get an even scarier scenario. Ghost in Masung Tunnel will get you to rethink your next traveling plans.
