Hilarious Facebook Groups Where We All Pretend We’re Not Going Crazy in This Health Crisis

With the ongoing health crisis, most of us are forced to stay at home to help flatten the curve and prevent further spread of the coronavirus. Weeks upon weeks confined indoors are doing a number on some people. Especially introverts. And they’re coping with everything by joining Facebook roleplaying groups where everyone pretends to be something they’re not. No, no one’s crazy. We hope.
Quarantine Day 31: I joined a Facebook group where we all pretend to be ants in an ant colony pic.twitter.com/FjIO9vtonl

“A group where we all pretend to be ants in an ant colony” — this is the OG group. Or at least, the group that went rather viral during this quarantine. Everyone is just going L I F T or B I T E — or whatever the queen commands. The group has been around for nearly a year with only a circle of nine friends in it, but it grew so much bigger than they thought it would. They’re nearing two million members now. Join here.
My friend made a Facebook group last summer where we all pretend we’re ants in an ant colony look at how many fucking people are in it now pic.twitter.com/qOiM5ZuHTi

Alternatively, “A group where we all pretend to be Bees” is also open to new members. They’re not as big as the Ant group, with only at less than forty thousand members, so you can help the hive get bigger. Just buzz buzz buzz your way in. Join here.

I’m in a Facebook group called “a group where we all pretend to be farmers and cows” and whoever’s posting will do so from the perspective of a farmer and all the commenters have to be cows and so all of the comments are just different people saying “mmooooo” and it’s great pic.twitter.com/zBiyQNW4hl

Did you know farmers and cows have beef with each other? Or at least, they do in the alternate universe that is “a group where we all pretend to be farmers and cows.” (The pun was worth it. Or was it?) In this group, farmers call for the cows by making a post, and everyone else can only moo back. Moo with everyone by joining here.
Quarantine Day 37: I joined a group where in we pretend to live during the Spanish colonial times pic.twitter.com/kdW6OUKRxN

Sisa might just start shouting in this Facebook roleplaying group — “a group where we pretend to live during the spanish colonial times.” Warning: conyo people may experience nosebleed. Kindly prepare, but you can join here.
Today’s group :
I joined a group where we all pretend to be interested in each other bc of (الجفاف العاطفي) quarantine made https://t.co/zqGT0PK7m4 pic.twitter.com/3lQovZbRLV— •Daنa• (@dumb_bananaa) April 22, 2020
“a group where we all pretend to be interested in each other” . . . I’m honestly not sure whether to laugh or cry at this group, because let’s be real (for a bit) — most of us aren’t. But if you want validation from a bunch of strangers (a.k.a. what most people want from the internet), join here because you’d definitely get it.
I just joined the group where we all pretend to work in the same office and the ant colony group has apparently infiltrated it. https://t.co/ti3xK6NbNn pic.twitter.com/Yggtrm3QLj

OK BEST PART IS there’s another group called “a group where we all pretend to work in the same office” and ANTS TOOK OVER IT https://t.co/W4giDgXSv5 pic.twitter.com/fkHuuAiNbu

We’re all so starved for in-person social interaction that we’re willing to go back to our offices — or at the very least, pretend we are all in the same office with nearly 150,000 people all over the world (wow, what a company), or be roommates with more than twenty thousand random strangers (how big is this room?), just to feel some semblance of normalcy. We’re willing to fight with our “officemates” and “roommates” just for that, and maybe you are too. Be an officemate here, or board up with us here.

I think “A Group Where We All Pretend to be Rich” speaks for itself. If you want to meet your favorite celebrity, join here. And with the long weeks of this quarantine, we all want to believe we’re all still emotionally stable. If you want to see wholesome posts, join “A Group Where We All Pretend to be Emotionally Stable” here.
