K-fans, awards season is upon us. One of the biggest award shows is even coming to the Philippines! On December 14, 2023, the Philippine Arena hosting a landmark event in the world of Asian entertainment: the 8th edition of the Asia Artist Awards (AAA). This marks the first time the AAA will be held in the Philippines, a testament to the country’s vibrant love for K-culture and its emerging significance in the global entertainment landscape.
Organized by STAR NEWS, TONZ ENTERTAINMENT, and PULP Live World, the Asia Artist Awards has consistently celebrated the best the region has to offer in terms of film, music, television, and digital content. On top of this, the AAA has also become a world stage where various artists have come to show phenomenal performances that captivate fans across the globe. Here are the stages you shouldn’t miss at the 2023 Asia Artist Awards:
P-pop pioneer group SB19 has continued to take the world by storm with their hit single Gento, which has become familiar in Korea through the Gento dance challenge. For AAA, they are collaborating with HYBE’s multinational boy group &TEAM for a special stage.
Seventeen’s subunit BOOSEOKSOON is set to electrify the AAA stage with rapper Lee Young-ji as they perform their collaboration song “Fighting.”
Soloist Kim Jae-joong is celebrating his 20th debut anniversary this month, and he’s commemorating the milestone with a fantastic performance with his band at the 2023 Asia Artist Awards. This stage will be legendary as it is his first award ceremony stage since his debut as a soloist.
After appearing together in the crowd-favorite reality show 2 Days 1 Night, actor Yoo Seon-ho and rapper and TV personality DinDin will reunite at the 2023 AAA for a cute collaboration.
Kang Daniel is set to surprise his DANITYs and AAA viewers with a dazzling performance filled with his charm.
The rappers attending the awards ceremony are also expected to wow the audience with an exclusive collaboration stage. Lee Young-ji, Ash Island, and Paul Blanco will be heating up the AAA stage with their stage entitled ‘필 충만’ (literally Feel Full, or to be filled with emotions).
The Philippines’ favorite folk-pop act Ben&Ben is bringing OPM to the AAA stage! While we’re still waiting to hear details about their performance, we’re sure Ben&Ben will deliver an impressive performance that will make Pinoys proud.
