Oftentimes, K-drama fans only see their favorite actors on screen. So it’s a real treat when an actor visits the Philippines to spend time with their Filipino fans. And bless Byeon Wooseok for coming back to Manila again and again. In his latest visit on 10 October 2026, the SM Mall of Asia Arena turned into a sea of love and laughter as the South Korean heartthrob returned to the Philippine stage for a sold-out fan meeting as part of The Secret Library Asia Fanmeeting Tour 2026. Presented by PULP Live World, the event created bookmarkable pages that made it a magical night for Filipino Woochetongs (his fans’ nickname).

Byeon Wooseok popped up with a cute, energetic entrance

The stage setup was simple, so most fans thought he’d probably just walk in. But it was such a pleasant surprise to see Wooseok pop out behind the huge mascot and immediately belt into a song and run around the stage. His energy was contagious, bringing a smile to everyone’s face.

He serenaded fans with his lovely voice

Byeon Wooseok kicked off the evening by making a grand entrance while singing Korean rock band Daybreak’s hit song “Flower Road.” His warm smile and cheerful vocals immediately set a joyful and intimate tone for the entire fan meeting.

For fans who fell in love with him as Ryu Sun-jae in Lovely Runner, hearing him perform “Sudden Shower” live was the ultimate highlight. The arena echoed with a massive, emotional sing-along as fans relived iconic moments from the hit K-drama.

Woochetongs learned what his algorithm shows

Funnily enough, his social media algorithm is full of photos and videos of himself from his tour. He said he checks fan feedback after every fan meeting, so his social media page kept on showing his face.

Then, when asked what his favorite emoji was, he chose the cutest pleading face: 🥺. Well, Filipino Woochetongs just had to ask him to give a sample. He did it twice (even if he was so shy about it) and it was the cutest thing ever.

He spoke a lot of Filipino phrases

He spoke the usual rotation of phrases like “Mahal kita”, “Cute kayo”, “Maganda”, “Kaya ko ‘to”, and even “Tayo na!” (which found a resurgence in popularity thanks to Forgotten Island).

But maybe the cutest part is that he even tried trendy terms from TikTok, such as “Yoohoo! Dito ang tingin!”

He had a lot of fun, interactive segments

In one segment, Wooseok re-enacted K-drama scenes onstage. With three lucky fans! Three! In other stops, only two fans are usually invited onstage for the reenactment segment. While unconfirmed, fans are speculating that he talked to his staff to allow the third fan who had an unexpected mix-up. Together, they re-enacted kilig scenes from Lovely Runner. To top it off, each lucky fan took home a signed Polaroid selfie taken right on stage! With their chosen pose with Wooseok! Be still, my fangirl heart.

In another, funnier segment, the actor was tasked with preparing a rolled omelet (also known as gyeranmari, a staple in Korean breakfast tables) for three lucky fans. It was quite the eventful segment, since Wooseok had a couple of kitchen fails (e.g. an egg fell off the bowl, he tried to hide from the cameras to remove an eggshell from his bowl, and the three lucky fans got playful with describing his cooking using expressions like “mesherep”, “eng sherep”, and “malinamnam).

He got up close with fans offstage

Yes, Wooseok went down the stage to meet fans around the floor area. He went above and beyond to ensure no fan felt too far away, making direct eye contact, waving, sending heart gestures, and posing for photos with Woochetongs.

He teared up because of all the love and support of Filipino Woochetongs

During the group photo session, Filipino Woochetongs surprised the actor by singing “Sonagi” / “Sudden Shower” to him in unison in gratitude for returning to Manila. And in true Pinoy fashion, the MOA Arena was filled with the Filipino throat chakra, showing him the immense love and dedication of his local fanbase and even making him emotional.

In his closing ment, Wooseok expressed heartfelt gratitude, stating he gained so much energy from the crowd and promised to repay their love through his upcoming acting projects.
