Why we love Lee Minho

Back in 2008, six years after Lee Minho started his journey to stardom, Kim Su-ro, one of his colleagues in the film Our School’s E.T. said of Lee Minho, “I recognize a star when I see one.” Perhaps Kim Su-ro was right all along when he said that Lee Minho was going to become one of the top actors in Korea someday. As if it was written in the stars, a year later, in 2009, Lee Minho’s breakthrough came in the lead role of Gu Jun Pyo in the television series Boys Over Flowers.

For some, it was the character of Gu Jun Pyo they fell in love with, but undeniably, for most, it was Lee Minho’s outstanding acting that had them hooked. It is for this reason that he received the award of “Best New Actor” for a television series in the 45th Baeksang Arts Awards and the 2009 KBS Drama Awards. His popularity skyrocketed, making him a Hallyu star.

In his pursuit of becoming one of the top global Hallyu stars, Lee Minho also took on the leading role of City Hunter in 2011, The Heirs in 2013, The Legend of the Blue Sea in 2016, and The King: The Eternal Monarch in 2020, his latest project When the Stars Gossip, and many more. All these titles garnered immense popularity, both locally and internationally, earning various awards for Lee Minho.

His long list of accolades also includes the “Prime Minister’s Commendation” at the 5th Korean Popular Culture and Arts Awards in 2014 for his contribution to the Korean Wave and a “National Brand Award Grand Prize for the Culture Sector” from the Institute of National Brand Promotion in 2017.

Aside from acting, Lee Minho connects with his fans through music. His EPs My Everything in 2013 and Song for You in 2014 are testaments to the genuine dedication he holds for MINOZ (his fandom’s official name). He mentioned that he recorded these tracks solely for his fans, with no intention to pursue a singing career.

Minhoverse in Manila: When and where will it be held?

Lee Minho will be waiting for you on 26 April 2025, 6PM at the SM Mall of Asia Arena for the 2025 LEE MINHO ASIA FAN MEETING TOUR ‘MINHOVERSE’ IN MANILA.

The actor has been in the country previously for other fan meetings, but often tied with brand promotions. This is the first time he is holding a fan meeting in the Philippines solely to meet fans.

How much are tickets?

Ticket prices range from PHP 2,600 to 11,000. Ticketing charges apply.

Are there any perks for attendees?

Depending on the ticket tier you purchase, you can snap a group photo with Lee Minho, experience a hi-bye session with the actor, or receive a signed photocard or a signed poster. All tickets will receive a photocard, an official poster, and a souvenir show card.

What merch will be available?

While no announcements have been made regarding merchandise for the Manila stop, the Seoul stop featured items such as stickers, photo ticket set, four-cut photo and ID photo set, and photocard books.
