After their historic performance at Coachella last April, P-Pop girl group BINI has been recognized by the Senate for being the first all-Filipino act to perform at the music festival in California. The eight members — Aiah, Colet, Maloi, Gwen, Stacey, Mikha, Jhoanna, and Sheena — appeared at the upper house yesterday, where they received the recognition as Filipino artists who “exemplify excellence and bring pride to the nation through their achievements in the global arena” under Senate Resolution No. 370, sponsored by Senator Bam Aquino.
The senator’s office also gifted the BINI members bags that showcase uniquely Filipino craftsmanship: the R2R Fruit Bags and personalized charms, which were presented to the Nation’s Girl Group by the senator, alongside R2R co-founder and president Reese Fernandez Ruiz and lead designer Christian Cera.
If you want to match with the BINI girls or you’re simply loving those Pantropiko-coded bags, here’s where you can get them.
The Fruit Bag series is the latest collection from R2R (Rags2Riches), a local sustainable fashion brand that is known for the signature R2R weave and for empowering community artisans in the country for many years.
This new collection takes inspiration from tropical fruits. Each round bag comes with a detachable short strap with leaf detailing, as well as an adjustable long strap, so you can style it as a shoulder bag, a handbag, or even a crossbody bag. Every bag also comes with a fruit net bag, because duh, these were freshly picked fruits (yup, it’s made to order!).
How fitting are these Pantropiko-coded bags for the BINI members, right?
So which member is wearing which Fruit Bag? If you want to match with your BINI bias, check out their bag list below:
This is not the first time the girls wore R2R. In a previous appearance on the Wish Bus USA, the BINI members wore various clothing pieces from R2R. According to the social enterprise, the choice to wear Filipino pieces was “intentional.”
“They really wanted to support and wear local brands, especially during their North America visit,” the brand wrote in a comment.

As of writing, there are only four designs available so far: Limon (lemon), Kahel (orange), Pakwan (watermelon), and Seresa (cherry on top!).
But don’t worry, you can still go twinning with Aiah, Mikha, Maloi, and Sheena soon. R2R has teased on their social media pages that the other four designs are coming soon, so just keep an eye out.
Each fruit bag is priced at PHP 5,500 and comes with a detachable leaf-shaped short strap, an adjustable leather long strap, and a fruit net bag.
The Fruit Bag series is available for pre-order on R2R’s website: r2r.ph.
If you want to see the bags in person, you can also drop by their pop-up on Level 2 of The Podium Mall in Mandaluyong, which runs until September 30, 2026.
