Running for over six hours, the 2023 Asia Artist Awards (AAA) was filled not only with renowned Asian stars receiving prestigious awards, but also with powerful stages all around. The AAA stage saw over 30 fire performances that contributed to a fun night for artists and audience members alike, but these 8 artists really made us bop our heads or even stand up in our seats!
After WHIB opened up the night with a “Bang!”, SB19 continued to heat up the stage with their hit singles “GENTO”, “Bazinga”, “Mana” and “Crimzone”. Multinational boy group &TEAM also joined them for a collaborative stage performing “GENTO”. Even K-pop powerhouses Stray Kids and NewJeans were seen jamming to their performance!
AAA Artist of the Year winner NewJeans had the whole arena singing and dancing along with their high-energy performance of “OMG”, “ETA”, and “Super Shy.”
Back to back with NewJeans is LE SSERAFIM, who made the audience complete a perfect night with their performance of “Perfect Night” and “Eve, Psyche & The Bluebeard’s Wife (Remix).”
Kim Jae-joong proved just why he received the Top of K-Pop Record award that night with his live solid vocals and powerful rockstar performance.
Right after she received her AAA Best Choice Award, Lee Young-ji lit up the arena with her fire songs “I Am Lee Young-ji” and “Not Sorry”. She even performed the choreography of her song “Not Sorry” with SEVENTEEN’s BSS!
Before the biggest awards of the night, the sibling duo slowed the pace down for a bit so the audience can breathe. They performed the Tiktok-viral “Love Lee” and the beloved classic “Give Love.”
As the recipient of the AAA Daesang Stage of the Year, Stray Kids showed the arena why they got that award with an electrifying performance. From “Maniac” and “Get Lit” to “Topline” and “Lalalala”, they got the audience standing up in their seats and jamming to their amazing stage. Felix, Bang Chan, and Changbin even approached some fans in the audience seats to hype them up.
Last but definitely not the least, closing the show was SEVENTEEN BSS. They started with soft ballad “7PM”, performing a short skit with actors Kim Se-jeong, Kentaro Sakaguchi, and Lee Dong-hui. Then they brought up the energy to a new high with “Fighting” featuring Lee Young-ji and “Lunch”, making their fellow artists and the audience members dance and sing with them. BSS definitely blew the roof off after that high-energy performance!
The 2023 Asia Artist Awards is organized by STAR NEWS, TONZ ENTERTAINMENT, and PULP Live World, co-sponsored by Smart and Viu Philippines, and made possible through the support of the official banking partner, Metrobank.
