Less than a week into the highly successful launch of the BTS and McDonald’s collaboration, netizens are getting creative and letting their imaginations run wild. Fans of local celebrities have come up with parodies of the BTS Meal, but instead of BTS and McDonald’s, it’s all about their idol and their dream fast food collabs. They created mock-ups of what their idol’s collab meal with a fast-food chain would look like, and they’re calling for the fast-food brands to actually make it come true. Some of them have even been noticed by the actual artist! Check them out here:
One of the first parodies to come out is for the nine-piece band Ben&Ben. The first iteration by Facebook user Ivy Denice instantly went so viral to the point that it reached the actual band. Ben&Ben posted a screenshot of her post and joined in the fun using everyone’s caption “Pag ba bumili ako niyan, pipiliin nako sa araw-araw?” in reference to their song lyrics. Under the same post, the band added a comment sharing another version of the Ben&Ben Meal by Facebook user Karr Cedric Camalig.

Popsters dominated this morning’s Twitter trends when a Popster’s tweet went viral, after Twitter user RvinXXXtian built a dream meal collab with Sarah Geronimo’s existing endorsement partner Jollibee. The mock-up of “The Pop Star Meal” featured a variety of pun-filled menu items, including star-shaped Tala Nuggets, Ikot-Ikot Twister Fries, and Coke Sarah (referring to the artist’s nickname in The Voice as Coach Sarah). Even Grab PH teased a promo code if this collab would really come true!

The same editor behind “The Popstar Meal” also made a tribute to another Jollibee endorser: Regine Velasquez. Dubbed “The Songbird Meal,” it features some Crispy Wings of Love that can be delivered Araw-Gabi.
One of the OG idols of our childhood, Jolina Magdangal received a fast-food collab edit, albeit featuring some very *iconic* photos from her youth. The overall aesthetic of this McDo meal edit reminds us of the Pinoy celebrity notebook covers we could get from Divisoria or even the local palengke in the 2000s. And yes, these are the kinds of photos of Jolina that were also featured on those notebooks.

Twitter user AlyssaSayno can’t seem to pick which fast food restaurant to go with for her idol Jodi Sta. Maria, so she figured why not both? She’s got a lot of baon puns to make anyway. And so now we have Jollibee’s Jodi Meal and McDonald’s McSta Maria Meal. Take your pick.
Even professional e-sports team Execration, best known for their DOTA 2 gaming skills, came up with their own edit of the BTS Meal. They kept the menu simple with nuggets, fries, and Coke, but their packaging might be something e-sports fans would love to keep and preserve, too.

Pinoy Swifties took the meme to the international level with their dream collab between Taylor Swift and our very own Jollibee. This packaging inspired by her upcoming re-recorded album 1989 (Taylor’s version) is so aesthetic that we wouldn’t want to throw it away either. (We’d repurpose it just like we did for the BTS Meal!) We know this collab might be a little far-fetched, but truly, just imagine how the internet might break.
With SexBomb Girls, Pinoys got their own pambato not just in singing and dancing skills, but also in fast food meal collaborations! This Jollibee “Bucket Papa” bundle comes with a bucket of fried chicken, three rice, three regular fries, three glasses of Coke, three Halukay Ube Pies, and a free tub of Joll Spaghetting Pababa! You can even get a *free* limited edition Daisy Siete tumbler featuring your favorite girls!
There’s so much to unpack here that we don’t know where to start…
