If you’ve ever dreamed of hearing your favorite Studio Ghibli soundtracks live and be lost in its melodies, this is your chance. Film Concerts PH is bringing The Symphonic World of Studio Ghibli to Manila this July and August, and it’s shaping up to be a must-watch for fans of the iconic films. What is The Symphonic World of Studio Ghibli in Manila?

This orchestral concert brings the music of beloved Ghibli films to life, performed live by the 83-piece Filharmonika Orchestra under the baton of Gerard Salonga.

The program features compositions by Joe Hisaishi, whose scores have become synonymous with the magic of Ghibli films. Expect a fully orchestral experience that leans into nostalgia, emotion, and cinematic storytelling.

Beyond the music, the event is part of the Philippines-Japan Friendship Year 2026, marking 70 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries. It’s also presented in partnership with The Japan Foundation, Manila and endorsed by Studio Ghibli itself.

The two-hour concert will take you through some of Ghibli’s most iconic worlds, including:

• Howl’s Moving Castle
• Spirited Away
• My Neighbor Totoro (with special narration)
• Kiki’s Delivery Service

Whether you grew up with these classics or are just discovering them, the music alone is worth the experience.

The concert will be staged at The Theatre at Solaire, one of the metro’s top venues for live performances. You have four chances to catch it:

• July 31, 2026 (8:00 PM)
• August 1, 2026 (2:00 PM and 7:00 PM)

How much are the tickets for Studio Ghibli in Manila?

Tickets will be available in 5 tiers with the following prices:

• A: Php 6,999
• B: Php 5,999
• C: Php 4,999
• D: Php 2,999
• E: Php 1,999

All tickets are exclusive of a 3% Ticketworld service charge. Public sales begin on April 28, 2026 (12 NN) via TicketWorld, but UnionBank Credit and Debit Cardholders will enjoy a pre-sale from April 24 to 27 and an exclusive 10$ discount on tickets for Tiers A, B, and C.
