Memes, much like humans, get their 15 minutes of fame too before they die down. But not for Anakin and Padmé’s meme which has stuck around a little bit longer to test mankind’s creativity. The four-panel photo was taken from the Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones scene where the pair were talking about dictatorship and democracy. The modern context of the meme is all about the delayed realization of the truth. That “Wait a minute” moment before you get slapped with what the other actually meant.
