He’s currently 29 years old

He was born on 29 September 1994, making him a Libra (in case any astrology girls are interested).

He’s a descendant of Russian nobility

His mother is Greek-American, while his father descended from the House of Golitsyn, a family of Russian nobility.

According to Hollywood Ancestry, the Golitsyns or Galitzines were one of the largest and noblest princely houses under the then-Tsardom of Russia. However, during the Russian Revolution, his ancestors were forced to flee to England, where they started a new life.

Often, men in their family were styled as Prince Golitsyn or Prince Galitzine. So it’s safe to say it’s in Nicholas’ blood to play royal roles.

He was on the road to be an athlete

During his school days, he regularly played rugby and football, even competing in some athletics competitions. However, an injury prevented him from further pursuing sports as a career.

He got on the acting path after he was scouted at a festival. “There was a girl who was going up to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival who I really fancied. I did [the festival] so I could go chase this girl. And I came back with this acting agency,” he told Wonderland Magazine in 2019.

Yes, he can hold a tune, as he does in all the songs of the fictional band August Moon in The Idea of You. After being asked if there was a discussion with the Red, White & Royal Blue film director about a straight actor playing a gay character, Nicholas answered: “I think it’s a very sensitive subject, I think the important thing for me was to let [director Matthew López] know that I loved who Henry was as a person, and I empathized with him as a character, and I just wanted to try and deliver as honest a performance — never a caricature — as I could.”
