But there’s nothing we love more about traveling than taking the perfect vacation OOTD shot. Here’s our step-by-step guide for getting that perfect snap that will get you that hundred likes, as shown to us by our country’s favorite Instagram queens.
8. Find a famous landmark for your background element
Step one: find a famous landmark or a widely recognized site that will tell people right away where you are without you having to say so in your caption, or geo-tagging your post.
7. Pretend like you don’t know it’s there.
Step two: whatever you do, don’t be tempted to make it look like the garden-variety tourist shots you see people make memes out of. Don’t pretend to hold it on your hand, rest your foot on it, or point at it as though you’re telling people, “Please don’t look at me; look at that view!” In nailing your perfect vacation OOTD shot, you have to put the attention to yourself; the landmark is just a wonderful element to your background for more #HumbleBragging.
