October means different things: Halloween for some, the start of Christmas shopping for others, but we know Filipinos can all agree that this is the part of the year when we brace our wallets for the upcoming holiday rush. (We have the longest Christmas season in the world, after all.) But what if we told you you can keep your wallet safe (or as safe as it can be when shopping) with some ~cheat codes~ for great perks and rewards?

Enter SMACtober Surprise. And no, this isn’t just another quick weekend sale. SMAC is bringing us a month-long shopping celebration that promises and delivers continuous rewards and interactive play. Whether you’re tapping away on your phone during a break or strolling through your favorite stores in the mall, here is how the month is shaping up to be the most exciting yet.

There are 4,000+ shops waiting for you

Shopping online is convenient, but nothing beats the feeling of good ol’ running around the mall. If you love browsing in person, make sure to bring your SMAC or present your SMAC QR (SMAC&SHOP app) when you shop at over 4,000 partner stores nationwide to score rewards through Amazing Deals.

Doing a major home upgrade? Go to SM Home and ACE Hardware. Looking for some new cool footwear for all the holiday shenanigans? Head to Sports Central. Need fun gifts for the pamangkin and inaanak in your gifting list? Run to Toy Kingdom. Time for your regular essentials restock? Head to SM Store.

Each of those stores have exclusive in-store deals, with up to 50% off available across participating stores. You can check out a complete list of the Amazing Deals here: https://bit.ly/SMACtober_AmazingDeals

This in-app game is easy AF and lowkey addictive

Instead of just doomscrolling during your lunch break, why not play a simple game and score prizes every time you play? In the SMAC&SHOP app, there are a couple of digital side quests that actually make setting alarm reminders worth it.

The first game is Shake & Win, which is literally what it’s all about. Just shake your phone and get a reward. We’re talking about prizes up to 10,000 SMAC Points or PHP 1,000 shopping vouchers. ICYDK, 1 SMAC point is 1 peso, so it’s as good as cash! SMAC points are accepted as a payment method for purchases in any SM Retail partner store.

Shake & Win is available every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday during two specific schedules: 12 NN to 1 PM or 8 PM to 9 PM. You can play once a day during either time slot.

Another in-app game lets you win prizes daily

If you can’t wait every other day for Shake & Win, there’s another in-app game you can join daily: the MAX Voucher Claw. Just tap to play and see what prize you’ll snag from the claw.

Every day, you can get a variety of different rewards, such as 20% off and ₱500 off vouchers, and SMAC points. It’s quick and easy, turning your screen time into a rewarding mini-break.

Big discount vouchers drop weekly in the app

Have you been eyeing some kicks from Nike or Adidas? Or have you been thinking of gifting a video game to your pamangkin? Or maybe you just want to decorate for the holidays?

Whatever it is, mark your calendar for Thursday mornings at 9 AM sharp. That is when Super Vouchers drop on the SMAC&SHOP app, with offers up to 60% off across several lifestyle brands, including Sports Central (featuring Nike and Adidas), Nintendo Authorized Store, Crate & Barrel, SM Store, and more.

Just be in-store, open the app, and use your Super Voucher while it lasts! These drops are limited, so make sure to flex your haul on social media! Which, speaking of, can score you more rewards…

Showing off your haul can score you even more rewards

Because duh, a good haul is meant to be shared. Even if you’re gifting them, you can probably just not mention who you’re giving it to. You can even turn your gift-wrapping sesh into a mini boxing video (instead of unboxing, get it?).

Because if you show off your haul, SMACtober Surprise gives you a chance to turn your simple photo and video content into actual rewards.

When you share your haul, you can be 1 of 500 winners scoring 500 SMAC Points. Just post your personal SMACtober experience on TikTok (don’t forget to set you account to Public!), use the hashtags #SMACtober and #SMACtoberSurprise, tag @smacph, and fill out the entry form: https://bit.ly/SMACtoberSurprise2026
