In July 2022, a pair of lucky ARMYs (a.k.a. fans of BTS) got the once-in-a-lifetime chance to stay at the exclusive BTS In The Soop House. The global superstar group stayed at the property for their wholesome and relaxing reality series of the same name. A few months later, the property was once again opened to the public for a house tour if you stay overnight at a nearby hotel. But if your itinerary doesn’t allow for an additional overnight stay, you can check out this new BTS In The Soop filming location bus tour via Klook.
Klook’s bus tour brings you to two of BTS’ iconic filming locations. First, you’ll go to the BTS Bus Stop in Gangneung province, which is the filming location of the music video for their 2016 hit song Spring Day. The second stop is the BTS In The Soop House, which is a remodeled property where the BTS members stayed for a short vacation.
The tour starts at 8 AM in Seoul, where you’ll take a bus straight to the BTS Bus Stop. You’ll spend an hour or so there for photos before you head to Gapyeong Rest Area for a quick snack. Then you’ll depart for Pyeongchang for the tour of the BTS In The Soop House. There, you’ll spend two hours exploring the property, then you’ll head back via bus to Seoul.
The BTS Bus Stop is literally just that — a bus stop. But for ARMYs, it’s a must-visit location. Don’t worry; buses don’t actually stop here, because the “bus stop” is really meant to be a photo zone for visitors. Aside from recreating BTS’ photos at the bus stop, you can also enjoy the fresh sea breeze since it’s located right beside the beach. Just remember that this bus tour is during winter, so you can expect freezing temperatures.
The BTS In The Soop house is an exclusive property remodeled especially for the show. For extra privacy, the property is hidden in the mountains of Pyeongchang county in Gangwon province. So the BTS members got to relax and unwind out of the public eye and surrounded by nature.
We actually got to visit the actual BTS IN THE SOOP filming location during autumn, and it was definitely a memorable experience. Each room is decorated with items the BTS members brought to the house, including SUGA’s guitar, j-hope’s hand-made paper plane, Jin’s RJ pillow, and even the mat of Jung Kook’s pet dog Bam.
There were also photos from the series in each of the members’ rooms. On random mirrors and windows, we also spotted writings by the BTS members, such as quotes and what ‘In The Soop’ is for them.
Honestly? We’d go back if given the chance.
To book, simply go to the Klook website, choose your schedule, and pay through the site. The tour costs KRW 159,000 or approximately PHP 7,050 per person. On top of the tour, you will also get official BTS In The Soop merchandise as a souvenir that you can use at home!
If you have extra time and budget, you can opt for the one-night staycation at Phoenix Hotel Pyeongchang. The hotel’s package includes access to the BTS In The Soop filming location and a basic ski package. Prices range from KRW 380,000 or approximately PHP 16,850 to KRW 425,429 or approximately PHP 18,850 per room. Each room can house two people, so you can split the costs with a friend.
