Japanese-made commercials are amazing when you think about it. They’re the definition of creativity. Often, they’re too out-of-the-box to the point of being weird and atrocious, but that’s the true charm of the Japanese — and it works for us!
Here are just a few real advertisements we’ve rounded up that expose their ingenuity.
No, they’re not promoting their own “double lemons,” you pervs.

This jingle is so catchy that you’ll probably want one of these for yourself.
Okay, so this commercial isn’t as ridiculous as it looks. It’s divided into three sets of animations: Original, Company Edit, and Sales Edit. And the lyrics are apparently pretty funny if you knew Japanese (if not, we’re lucky to have an English translation here.)
And yes, I actually did research on it out of curiosity. Not a weird thing to do at all.

Here is World Order and Tissot gently reminding you that not all Japanese commercials are weird. They are just naturally ridiculous. Ridiculously weird.

When you look past its being NSFW, this advertisement is actually pretty well-made. Artistic and educational, even.
