From samgyeopsal and K-beauty to locally adapted Korean dramas or movies, it’s clear that Filipinos are passionate about Korean culture. But why stop at these things when you can dive deeper into the world of all things South Korea? The Korean Cultural Center (KCC) revealed its newest class offerings, and we’ve got a quick guide to get you started on the right foot.
The KCC offers several Korean language learning programs for all levels. They have courses on regular and intermediate Korean language, including conversation and translation classes.
For Korean culture enthusiasts, you can sign up for Hansik cooking lessons, basic Taekwondo, traditional dance, basic mooninhwa, and basic minhwa classes (a genre of Korean folk art).
And get this: all classes are FREE!
KCC’s Korean language program schedules are hybrid. Students may participate in classes through online sessions or by attending in person. Meanwhile, all Korean culture classes will be conducted onsite. The duration of this year’s Term 3 will be from September 11 to December 2, 2023.
