UAAP season has always resulted in a lot of intense rivalries between schools, especially when it comes to the basketball games. Students, staff, and alumni all get into the school spirit and show support for their teams from fighting for tickets to wearing university colors at the games. In the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) Season 85 Men’s Basketball Finals, the face off boiled down to the University of the Philippines and the Ateneo de Manila University. For the title of UAAP champion, the Katipunan neighbors played three games, all of which were filled with students, alumni, and staff.

But even before the final, things already got a little tense on Ateneo’s side of Katipunan when an anonymous post went viral.
On the forum-style Facebook page ADMU Freedom Wall, an anonymous person called out the guy she’s dating for allegedly lying to her and two-timing her. “You told me you don’t have any time and energy left to message me because of how draining your final requirements are YET YOU’RE IN CAMPUS AT 4 AM?” the post read. Ticketing for the UAAP games has always been notorious for its early morning lines, with some lining up as early as midnight on the day of ticket selling.
The anon also pointed out that she saw the guy she’s dating with another girl, one the guy apparently told her not to worry about. Yikes!
After going viral, the post garnered thousands of reactions and even some comments that might make you laugh.
This is what we call breaking news.
Breaking news and breaking up. Oof.
Even the reporter couldn’t help but chime in.
Proof of why we need to defend press freedom, even on campus!
