Our timelines are flooded with all things Taylor Swift today and we can’t think of a better way to end a tiring week. Taylor finally dropped her much-anticipated album Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) and successfully gave Swifties enough nostalgia to make them cry buckets. Add the fact that the bloodbath that is ticketing for The Eras Tour in Singapore happened at the same time the album dropped and emotions are all over the place.

 

It’s been a literal 13 years

Raise your hand if Taylor Swift was your childhood and now listening to Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) is taking you back in time. Remember all the little crushes you dedicated some of those songs to?

Listening to Taylor (and/or queueing to get tickets to The Eras Tour in Singapore) is everyone’s top priority today. Work can wait, we’re trying to live here.

If you didn’t have a mini dance/sing-along to the whole album, did you even listen to it properly?

 

Meeting your inner child and comforting yourself as an adult

As we said before, Taylor was the definition of childhood for most Swifties. Remembering how young we were when we first listened to Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) and to listening to it again along with a mature Taylor is one of the best experiences out there.

 

The need to be dramatic

Because let’s admit it, all the chill flew out the window the minute Taylor dropped that album.

 

Appreciating the new collabs

We didn’t just get a re-recording of the album, we also got much-awaited tracks from the vault which included collabs with Fall Out Boy and Paramore. Two of the best bands in the world which, back in 2010, everyone was also obsessed with. Worlds collide!

We love Taylor but sometimes, we have to laugh at her (and her lyrics’) expense too.

 

And a new wave of demand for The Eras Tour tickets

Coincidentally, ticket selling for The Eras Tour in Singapore also started when Taylor dropped Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) so one can only imagine the chaos for Asian Swifties. While many were exercising patience queuing for general sale (it reached 2 million!), they were trying to distract themselves by listening to the album.

The demand to see Blondie is through the roof and everyone knows it. Heck, even Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau had to shoot his shot for the country to get a chance at tour dates. “I know places Canada would love to have you. So, don’t make it another cruel summer,” he tweeted. How’s that for T-Swift puns?

With all this show of love and support, one thing’s for sure — Taylor, you will never go out of style.
