Hey, League players and anime lovers. We welcome you to a galaxy of wonder, music, art, and magic! Riot Games is holding its first-ever Star Guardian Art School right here in our very own city. And here’s everything you need to know about the exciting event:
Star Guardian Art School is a one-of-a-kind experience that brings gamers and anime fans together to explore the magic of the cosmic warriors and immerse themselves in all things Star Guardian.
In case you’re not familiar, Star Guardian is a series of in-game character skins in multiplayer online battle arena game League of Legends, based on anime-inspired high school girls or more specifically the mahou shoujo genre (literally ‘magical girls’, such as Sailor Moon and Cardcaptor Sakura). This vibrant alternate universe centers on a cast of female champions navigating high school drama by day and fighting evil forces by night.
At the art school, fans (a.k.a. students) can celebrate everything Star Guardian through various activities and workshops that allow them to create Star Guardian-inspired art themselves.
Choose your own patches, make your own design, and press them onto your tote bag yourself.

As Riot Games establishes their presence here in the country, they will be focusing on three pillars to hyper-serve the Philippine gaming community: collaborating more closely with communities and influencers, strengthening the foundational part of e-sports, and holding more performance activities locally both online and offline, such as the Star Guardian Art School.
“Philippines is a very important market for the growth and expansion of Riot Games,” said Joel Guzman, Country Manager of Riot Games operations in the Philippines.
“We wanted to be closer to the APAC region because it’s a really big region for gaming. Back then, it used to be just a hub, with Singapore doing everything. But now we’re actually building teams within countries,” he added. “Definitely, it’s one of our key priorities to hyper-serve the market. Because we find value in Filipino gamers.”
The country manager also teased that there will be “other genres that will be coming very, very soon.” So make sure to keep an eye out for all that, gamers!
