Facebook seems bent on being the center of the universe. It wants Messenger to be our default apps when texting and it wants its Moments app to be the exclusive storage of our photos online. Now they are introducing Marketplace, an avenue for communities to conduct buy-and-sell transactions. What’s good about this is that it gives you direct access to the Facebook profile of whoever is selling the product. What’s bad about it is that the amount of time we already waste on Facebook will be tripled.
It’s about time that Samsung develop a sleek personal assistant that can potentially outwit Siri, but how do they even start? Well, Samsung’s pulling out all the stops and acquired Viv Labs, a startup company responsible for Siri’s inception. Now they’re busy building Viv, an AI interface which is claimed to be more intelligent than Siri.
Having too much time on his hands Linard, decided to put said hands to good use by building a fantasy kingdom in Minecraft which he calls “Kingdom of Galekin”. It only took him four and a half years to create this kingdom, replete with incredible details. From building settlements with their own distinct designs, all the way to the interiors of Galekin’s exquisite looking castle. The whole reddit community has been raving about it, and who wouldn’t?
Google’s phone is here, and they’ve named it Pixel. It’s available in either 5-inch or 5.5-inch display. According to the Google guys themselves, Pixel is so named because pixels are the building blocks of a software, and that’s been the core foundation for everything Google does. We’ll have to wait a bit more to know what Pixel can offer, but heck, we’re all excited for Apple’s newest rival.
