Since the end of the pandemic, concerts have taken over our lives, with shows being announced left and right, leaving fans with nearly no time to breathe and recover. Still, with so many iconic and even record-breaking concerts this year, it’s no wonder we pay big bucks just to see our favorite artists deliver pure musical bliss. Here are the 8 gr8est concerts of 2024 — how many of these did you attend?
I think everyone can agree that this tour takes the cake. The Eras Tour may not have had a Philippine stop, but this did not stop Filipino Swifties from joining the record-breaking tour in Singapore, Japan, Australia, and other stops around the world.
A nostalgic journey through 10 (later 11) albums, Taylor Swift’s recently concluded The Eras Tour was crafted to take fans on a journey through each of Swift’s musical eras, complete with intricate stage design, costumes, choreography, props, and more. This tour took a life of its own, becoming a cultural phenomenon with new traditions being made each night, from surprise songs and guess-the-outfit quizzes to friendship bracelet trading and dressing up as the superstar. Many fought for tickets, while others tuned into grainy livestreams on social media.
Oh, and it’s also the the highest-grossing tour of all time at USD 2.2 billion, with about USD 1.04 billion earned during 2024. It’s also the first to earn over USD 1 billion in revenue. So this wasn’t just the biggest tour of 2024, but in all of history. You did that, Ms. Swift. You did that.
The two-night sold-out Philippine shows last January showed a “Sky Full of Stars” for Coldplay and their fans, filled with dazzling visuals and strong sense of camaraderie among the artist and the audience. Coldplay’s heartfelt performances allowed the crowd to feel present and connected.
And it was made all the more special as the British rock band shared the stage with our very own artists, including jikamarie, Lola Amour, and Dilaw. This was also the 2nd highest-grossing tour of 2024, earning USD 421.7 million.

Olivia Rodrigo may be a young artist, but she has proven that she has the iconic Filipino throat chakra with her vocal prowess and strong emotional delivery. During her Silver Star Show in Manila, she performed a well-balanced mix of songs from her albums, effortlessly transitioning between powerful ballads and energetic pop songs and making Pinoy Livies proudly say: “That’s our insan!”

Filipino UAENAs may have only had one day with the Korean superstar, but after five long years, IU finally returned to the Philippines, so we definitely made the most out of it, from the loud singing and the numerous fan events to the filled-up arena amounting to an amazing 3-hour-long show. She even performed Sunkissed Lola’s “Pasilyo,” making fans so kilig.
Something Blackjacks probably thought would never come just happened — a reunion tour by 2NE1! A highly anticipated event for fans of the legendary K-pop group, their concert was met with overwhelming enthusiasm from fans, who instantly sold-out both shows in Manila. During the concert, fans loudly sang along and grooved to the group’s energetic choreography, proving that 2NE1’s popularity remains strong after all these years. And yes, they even performed some of Sandara Park’s Filipino hit songs (“In or Out” supremacy!).

Bringing his greatest hits to Manila, Ed Sheeran’s Mathematics Tour (yes, that’s how it’s pronounced) was filled with his distinct vocals and heartfelt lyrics. Combine this with the tour’s innovative stage design featuring a 360-degree stage with a rotating outer ring for maximum engagement, and he was able to create an intimate atmosphere despite the venue being an open ground.

Another 360-degree spectacle this year was the Grand BINIverse of the Nation’s Girl Group. The 3-day sold-out concert took their BINIverse concert to the next level, showcasing the group’s incredible talent, stage presence, and connection with their fans. The concert also featured a heartfelt and emotional segment, highlighting the group’s journey and their bond with their fans.
This February, the 8-piece is headed to the Philippine Arena, and fans can expect a show on a similar level — maybe even higher!

A show that solidified their position as the Kings of P-pop, SB19’s PAGTATAG! Finale featured elevated production design and powerful performances that left a lasting impression on their fans A’TIN. After successful shows in the US, Canada, and all throughout Asia, for the finale, SB19 returned to where it all started: the Araneta Coliseum.
