With his loud personality, witty humor, and unforgettable road safety callouts, JB Suarez has become the internet’s favorite voice against “kamote” drivers. In case you’ve been living under a rock, this is the guy who has been filling your timeline with videos of him sitting in his car and searing road safety lessons to our brains with the sheer volume of his voice. JB’s content reprimands reckless drivers, which is why he ends each video with his favorite catchphrase, “Nakakainis ka eh”. Some people call him the “Angry Kuya Kim” or, simply, “Anger” from Inside Out personified. But beyond JB’s viral videos is an inspiring story. Here are eight facts you should know about the man behind the Anti-Kamote Gang.
JB earned a BS Civil Engineering degree from the University of Santo Tomas and even hosted Roarientation 2019, showcasing his passion for public speaking early on.
Beyond content creation, JB is a licensed civil engineer working full-time at a full-service construction company in Makati.

Before road safety advocacy, JB created fitness content and shared his love for basketball, running, and taekwondo, where he holds a black belt. Aside from videos of him yelling “lissential” skills to his followers, you can also find videos of JB joining fun runs and marathons.
JB’s confidence in front of the camera didn’t happen overnight. He once admitted that his very first hosting gig during a high school event was his worst performance. Instead of discouraging him, the experience sparked his passion for public speaking and motivated him to continuously improve, a journey that eventually led him to become the engaging storyteller he is today.

The name came from viewers during a TikTok Live after JB reached 5,000 followers. He wanted the movement to represent a community, not just himself. He then went on to call his road safety series “Lissential Skills”, the portmanteau of “license” and “essential”.
Before the Anti-Kamote Gang took off, JB envisioned creating a more laid-back, podcast-style series called “Car Thoughts”. His goal was to share reflections and meaningful conversations while driving. Instead, his road-related observations resonated with viewers, naturally steering his content towards advocacy.
As more people shared road incidents with him, JB realized his platform had become a space for promoting road safety and accountability.
By mixing humor, sarcasm, and creativity with education, JB makes road etiquette easier to understand and much harder to ignore.
Whether you know him for his hilarious “kamote” callouts or his growing road safety advocacy, JB Suarez has shown that social media can be both entertaining and impactful. His journey proves that with the right mix of humour, authenticity, and purpose, even everyday road etiquette can inspire a movement and maybe convince more people to proudly join the Anti-Kamote Gang.
