This girl celebrated her 2 subscribers

This young YouTuber is teaching everyone to celebrate small wins as she celebrates hers. Mary Grace Escober, a 9-year-old aspiring YouTuber, posted on Facebook a photo of her humble feast and captioned it “Happy 2 [subscribers].” Her post went viral garnering over 200k reactions and 83k shares as of writing. As a result, Mary Grace’s YouTube subscriber count blew overnight from 2 to 142k and counting. #Deserved!

The iPhone 12 packs a punch but it looks like iPhone 5’s big sister

The much-awaited Apple Event happened last night and boy is the internet reeling from all the news. First off, the good stuff: the iPhone 12 is the first Apple smartphone with 5G technology which basically means faster internet (depending on your service provider.) It’s also equipped with an A14 Bionic chip, Super Retina display, and even better camera quality. The iPhone 12 range has LiDAR technology and a fancy ~Ceramic Shield~ that prevents it from shattering when dropped. The line includes 5 phones: the iPhone 12 and 12 Max, iPhone 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max, and iPhone 12 Mini.

However, the internet has qualms on the release (like always). The soon-to-be-released iPhone 12 straight up looks like the lovechild of iPhone 5 and iPhone 11. Is that a bad thing? Some people say that iPhone 5 had the Best Design Ever while some are saying Apple ran out of ideas for this one.

But forget about the design for a sec because Apple also announced that they will be removing the power adapter from the box all in the name of “reducing their carbon footprint.” This means you have to purchase it separately. Understandably, the general public was upset.

We’ve been through this before though. People complain about the features but come release day, the new phones fly off the shelves in less than a day. The iPhone 12 starts at $699 (roughly P33,978.74) while the iPhone Pro starts at $999 (roughly P48,561.89).

 

This official government account just did an oopsie

This girl might have gotten thousands of birthday greetings but the person who posted her photo is about to get sacked (maybe). Last Monday evening, the official Twitter account of the House of Representatives of the Philippines ~accidentally~ posted the now-deleted birthday banner. But not before a number of people saw it and now we have questions. Who is she? Is a kid running that account? Were they hacked? And most importantly, may lumpiang shanghai ba sa party?

BLACKPINK is everywhere but we’re not complaining. After the successful release of their debut album The Album last Oct. 2, the K-pop group has another treat for their fans. Nadine Lustre will be dropping her new single soon

Something exciting is coming everyone’s way on Friday, Oct. 16 – President Nadine Lustre will be dropping her latest single, Wildest Dreams. The song will be released through Careless Music Manila (CMM), James Reid’s record label, and was written by Nadine herself alongside fellow CMM artists.

If Nadine’s previous tracks are anything to get by, we’re waiting on a dreamy R&B track that’s about to be added to your road trip playlist. Nadine’s album is also underway, here’s to hoping she drops it before this year ends. Pre-save Wildest Dreams it right now!

Even though it has been 10 long months since JaDine announced the end of their romantic relationship, it seems like their friendship is still intact. The pair is often spotted together, interviewed together, and even sometimes still post about each other on social media. Remember when we all felt hopeful when Nadine posted a photo for James’ birthday last May?

How they treat each other now just proves that they were really great friends before becoming romantic partners. This also proves that there is an 80% chance they will get back together someday – I can feel it in my left kidney. Acting super comfy with your ex either means you still love them or you’ve never loved them at all. What’s it gonna be, JaDine?

Ryniel Pineda is a security guard at a hospital in Butuan who has an undeniable passion for dancing. He went viral after a netizen caught him filming a video for his TikTok account. His dance moves have given so many Filipinos joy online. In fact, his TikTok account blew up and now has 563.7k followers with 4.6m likes and counting. Check out his viral dances below:

‘Ingat Angat’ campaign is warming our hearts

We call this the local crossover of the decade. The ‘Ingat Angat Tayong Lahat’ is a private-sector led campaign that calls for Filipinos to unite and empower each other during these tough times. The 2-minute video uploaded on Oct. 9 put the biggest brands in the Philippines in one video: Jollibee, McDonald’s, Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Petron, Shell, BDO, BPI, and more. ‘Ingat Angat’ showed how we can weather through this pandemic if we follow safety protocols and be united in looking out for each other.
