FISHY: The Internet’s Wittiest Comebacks to Tito Sotto’s ‘Tongue-in-Cheek’ Statement

The current Senate President on Thursday defended President Rodrigo Duterte’s pronouncement that Chinese fishers can fish in Philippine waters. Sotto was quoted as saying it’s difficult to determine exclusivity of natural resources, especially those underwater so the fish “could be coming from China and the fish from the Philippines could be going to China.”

After drawing flak (yet again), Sotto clarified that it was a tongue-in-cheek statement only a few people would understand. But the internet was already ripe with memes and comebacks. Here are the few best:
