Did you know that some of the most popular K-dramas are actually adapted from hit webtoons (digital comics)? Now if you aren’t familiar with these K-Dramas or want to start reading webtoons, here are some popular K-dramas that were based on popular webtoons.
When Lee Young-joon’s (Park Seo-jun) secretary of nine years Kim Mi-so (Park Min-young) decides to resign from her position, Young-joon realizes that he should’ve appreciated her importance in his company rather than ignoring her presence. Their feelings for one another develop as Young-joon starts to fall for Mi-so. Based on the webtoon of the same title, What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim is one of South Korea’s highest-rated K-drama aired on cable television.

Because of the advancement in technology, an app that can detect if a person is in love with you within a ten-meter radius gets invented. This instantly changes how society deals with romance and relationships. Love Alarm is based on a hit webtoon with the same title. The K-Drama’s first season aired on Netflix last year and its second season is scheduled to air this year.

When rumors start circulating that Deok-mi and Shi-an are dating, Ryan suggests that Deok-mi pretends to be in a relationship to stop Shi-an’s fans from attacking her. Her Private Life is based on the hit Korean comic Noona Fan Dot Com.

Extraordinary You is based on the webtoon July Found by Chance.
