Broadcast journalist Karen Davila clarified on Wednesday that everything is “all good” between her and Sen. Imee Marcos. The latter came as a guest on the morning talk show ANC Headstart hosted by Davila. They had a quick conversation exchange that quickly went viral on social media.
Intro pa lang Sampal agad?

Shortly after Davila welcomed Marcos to her show, the sister of president-elect Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. had something to tell her host. “Yes, good morning Karen. It’s nice to see you you’re still here in the Philippines.”
Davila initially laughed it off and congratulated Marcos on her brother’s win. “Akala ko magma-migrate ka ‘pag nanalo ang Marcos,” the senator added.
“Hoping always for the best for the country,” replied Davila.
Shortly after, social media was abuzz over the short conversation. Both “Karen” and “Sen. Imee” trended on Twitter with netizens forming their own opinion. Some were convinced that it was a “savage” exchange while others simply called Marcos “unprofessional and immature.”
Davila later took to Facebook to clarify a few things. She shared a now-deleted post by a netizen who captioned the interview with “Buo ang araw ko. Nice one Imee, idol na kita.”
“Let me set the record straight on this one. Sen Imee Marcos on #ANCHeadstart joked about me still being in the PH after her brother’s victory to which I replied… ‘ALWAYS HOPING FOR THE BEST FOR THE COUNTRY.’ Yan po ang sagot ko,” wrote the broadcaster on Facebook.
“Napikon po ba ako? Hindi po. Sen Imee Marcos also sent me an apology by text after the show. All good. Salamat!” she added.
A few hours later, Davila shared a status on social media: “In victory, resist the temptation to gloat. Graciousness is a class act.”
