Star Wars Day is upon us, and what better way to celebrate than by checking out the brand-new Star Wars content that just dropped today? This year, Disney+ has given us a new reason to celebrate with the release of two exciting animated series: Season 2 of Star Wars: Visions and a brand new series, Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures.
Our verdict: A must-watch for every fan. (It’s even better than the first season.)
In case you haven’t gotten a chance to check out the first season of Visions, here’s what you need to know. It’s basically a series of animated stand-alone shorts that tell stories set within the Star Wars universe. Each story is meant to show viewers a unique perspective on the galaxy far, far away.
The second season continues this same format, with some fresh new faces and familiar characters from across the saga making an appearance. And — dare we say it? — the second season is even better than the first.
With each episode featuring a different studio, Visions Season 2 is set to offer a unique and diverse range of stories that will take viewers on a thrilling journey through the galaxy far, far away. These stories span the multiple timelines fans should be familiar with, from the Original Trilogy and even during the High Republic era, a few thousand years before the Prequel trilogy.
Season 2 of Visions promises to bring stories that are fresh and original, while still capturing the essence of what makes Star Wars so special. Whether it’s a Korean anime set during the High Republic or a thrilling adventure featuring a force-sensitive young girl, this season brings something exciting for everyone.
Our verdict: A kid-friendly introduction to the Star Wars universe.
If you’re looking for a fun and adventurous Star Wars series for younger audiences, Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures is just what you need. The series features a brand new cast of young heroes on thrilling adventures across the galaxy.
The animation style is vibrant and engaging, perfect for capturing the attention of younger viewers. The storylines are straightforward and easy to follow, making it a great introduction to the Star Wars franchise.
However, it’s worth noting that if you’re a die-hard Star Wars fan looking for a show with complex storylines or deep character development, then this series might not be the most entertaining watch for grown-ups. The series is geared more toward younger audiences, and the storylines are fairly simple. (Think Paw Patrol, but set in the Star Wars universe.) Nevertheless, if you just want to relax and watch something light-hearted with the kids, then Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures is definitely worth checking out.
Both Star Wars: Visions Season 2 and Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures are now streaming on Disney+.
